I have this in with intermittent poor performance loses power runs erratic, switch off & restart runs ok for a while, previous garage changed throttle pedal but same problem has come back. Whilst reading live data all seems to function ok until fault occurs engine fails to rev most sensors seem to nearly flat line throttle motor has little or no corellation to pedal position.
Seems to have so much failed information I would suspect throttle motor but as 02 sensors both stop switching when fault occurs I think it looks likely to be ecu . Are there any known problems that may relate to my symptoms? I would think at 88k throttle is more likely to fail than ECU
p2135 throttle ped pos above max threshold
p2108 throttle actuator control performance
p060a Internal control module monitor invalid signal
p2303 Ignition coil b primary cotrol circuit low
p0123 Throttle position sensor a circuit high input

See if all sensors affected share a common signal return or ground. Monitor the 5V reference on one of the sensors, like the TPS, and see if it is dropping out when you have this fault. I have seen faulty DPFE sensors pull the 5V reference down causing all kinds of problems.

Hi, this might help: http://www.focushacks.com/mod/DPFE_Sensor_and_EGR_Information

Customer failed to return for diagnosis I saw her by chance today, she told me sorry I didn't come back but I needed the car because my son was ill & since you looked at it has been running fine. She does not yet seem to understand I could have looked at it yesterday but now she will have to wait two weeks for a diagnosis as I am fully booked. I will let you know the out come if it returns

Customer has now left this car with me for the week she is away with a hire car; no fault at present I cannot see any dpfe or egr on this I think that only applies to mk1 focus. I have just fitted this exact same engine to a V50 volvo so I am pretty familiar with all sensors fitted I will let you know what I find

This seems to be fixed now, I found break in one of the wires to throttle body which was preventing it from relearn of values after each code clear and causing all the fault codes to continually re appear

:top: Thanks for sharing solution. See that a lot on fly by wire and never thought of it.
