Hi,
today I am having problems trying to learn a spare remote key to a 2012 Honda CRV. This car uses the new type flick key. The key im using is a genuine Honda 2 button remote key, the key reads on Tango as pcf7936, so separate transponder inside key. I used X100 to learn the transponder part of key, the car starts ok, but i cannot get the remote to work. I have tried the normal manual method that is used on earlier honda models but with no success. I was just wondering if anyone else has came across this problem?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated
Kind regards
Jonny

Doing the manual way did the doors cycles?>>>wrong remote or wrong frequence
Did you check battery in the remote?>>>test the buttons
Did you check the anti-thief fuse in the fuse box?
2 button + panic ? Or just 2 button (non USA model)
hope it helps!

Thank you ray ray for your reply. No, the door locks did not cycle to indicate that programming mode was active when I tried the manual method. Yes, the remote battery is good, i have tested the key on remote tester. This car already has a working 2 button remote key, this is just a spare key job. The key that i have bought from the dealer has the same part number as the original. There is a diagnostic remote learning function on X100 but when i try it I get no comms with car.
Any ideas?
Thanks again for your interest
Kind regards
Jonny

If you already have one, it needs to be reprogrammed at the same time, or it will not work- don't mean to be nit-picky just didn't see that in your list.:)
