Nice one ilen for the advice but like I have previously stated I aint got a clue what you guys are on about with eeprom & 24c16 !!!

Tried to google it and it has only made things worse !!!

I am better off just buying a new Car Stereo from eBay ?

You're probably better off taking it to your local decoder..
He'll not charge a lot
To do it yourself you'll need to read a chip inside the radio called a "24c16",
once read it'll produce a file called a "Dump" which we can translate into a code

I suppose to do that I would need some sort of programmer software and hardware ?

Dont know any local decoders here in Merseyside so Im up for learning how to do this, surely Youtube should have some tutorials...

Any advice on where I get hold of this stuff such as links or advice datasheets ?

I'm only in Wrexham if need help getting it sorted..
To do it yourself: You'll need a PonyProgrammer (less than ?15) and a soldering iron..
Remove the bottom cover and you'll be looking for a rectangle shaped chip, next to this is a
chip with 8 legs, this is the chip you'll need to read..

Here's a picture of the chip you're looking for
