I have followed the tutorials where they say to tighten the 4 screws but it still reports X SENSOR ERROR and beeps repeatedly. Has anyone had the same fault? Is there a reset procedure that I need to do after this?

I hope you can find the solution for this as I have the exact same problem and can't get it to reset even though every thing has been tightened properly. I wonder if anyone knows how to contact the manufacturers?

It would appear that my " X Sensor " is faulty. I am trying to locate one as we speak.

Its the sensor that monitors the height of the cutter, if theres too much light getting in there it thinks its open all the time ... or posible bad wire ect as its a moving part..
take cover from around the motor il point it out..
Thanks kev

Hi, I have a V8 cutting machine too, there is one spare sensor comes in the package, but not too sure if its the one you mentioning. Just a thought, Have you tried to use compressed air to give a quick blow all the dust out on the sensor, just a thought.
Is the sensor looks black and with 3 wires coming out of the small circuit board (Red, Yellow and Black)?
The opto photoelectric sensor parts number is GK152. On the circuit board number GD-15.
