Hi all, I bought my kids the above box at christmas so they could watch the tv in their bedroom, it wouldn't do very much when I got it, I connected to the internet and did all the updates as suggested, asfter a few weeks, the channels got less and less, until there was very little available ti view, I took it back to the supplier, he gave me another box, but this didn't have as many icons as the first box, I connected to the internet again, but couldn't get any tv channels (the broadband here is only 2meg at most, so whether this has anything to do with it I don't know, tomorrow, I'm getting superfast installed, so fingers crossed). I was given another box, that the seller informed be had been undated fully by him, I got it home and it was no different, I couldn't take it back for the next few days as I had appointments, by the time I was able to return it, he'd moved house, so this left me stumped. Hardly anything will work now, even though I keep getting messages on the bottom of the screen telling me that certain programmesare updating.
What would be the best thing to do, chuck it, or use my limited brain capacity and try to fix it? should I wipe it clean or try and update whatever is going wrong and causing the problems, I love some suggestions folks so I can get my kids to love me again.

Well, after several hours of work, I've managed to get the box running, it was working fine till about 1pm, when it turned itself off, I rebooted it and it wouldn't go onto the XBMC site, if I click on the icon, it shows me the webcam icon, I had a message on screen stating OTA is not present, I've looked hidh and low, but it ain't there, I've tried to find one and even a standalone one, but nothing is showing, any suggestions please?

Alan.

The first thing i would do is uninstall XBMC and download the latest version called Kodi http://kodi.tv/download/
After installing you will need to install TOTALXBMC and this will allow you to install whats called a community build. This is basically a full set up that someone else has spent hours setting up and allows you to download and install on you box. Follow the links below and you should be up and running again.
