Volvo Chks error

Hello!

as i hear in Volvo is always Problem that after making a remap in DTC will come CHEKSUM error.

i had this this error in Siemens SID 803 ecu, will this fault also come in Bosch EDC16 after remapping??

yes it will, problem is that ecu checksum is stored also in CEM, and if they dont match you get this error.

not sure, never went deeper into it, you would need to modify ECU checksum stored in CEM but dont know is it possible

i just say to my customers deal with it or drive away

Or you can simply delete the error in the ecu flash :)
CEM will still store an error, but at least the ECU wont show anything.

So far I have seen it in all volvo ecus - sid803, sid803a, edc16c34 and edc16c31

Post here dump from Bcu inside( MCU 9S12 I THINK) and Ecu dump(SIMPLE EEPROM.

this will sync the chksum in cem with ecm? the codecard tool?

as i hear the only person who can calc checks in cem is the polstar racing team.
