HELP with cluster E36 VDO

Hallo Guys

Can some help with this cluster its from BMW e 36 compac 1999 i ryed with digi connectors doesnt work now i want to open it the only problem is that i cant open the backside to acces the eeprom

Can you help how i can open it

there are white plastic "rivets" around the board. Get a sharp drill bit and by hand, turn the head off these "rivets". Do not use power as the plastic is very soft and there are tracks on the circuit board near the "rivets". Do this part slowly! Pull the PCB of the plastic posts. You can push it back on the posts once the eeprom is programmed. Arthur.

you'll also see a colored plug on the back in 1999, called "code plug." This also retains mileage. In many cases, you have to get both to match (eeprom and codeplug) or you will get a tamper dot.

There are also some "rivets" holding plastic lamp surrounds. These must be removed as well. Arthur.
