Openbox a5s help needed

I was offerd a few of these last night for a very good price, I took 3 to see how good they were if at all, problems started straight away could not load ch list via usb could not load line via usb. I set to and installed everything manualy and on every box it did not work, FTA ch worked perfect others would not.. Checked everything in settings line connected ect ect but could not get them working as they should. Checked firmware very little or no support for these boxes the only firmware i could find was on free sat and it was a5s/v8 this had already been loaded. Is there any other firmware/software that would run on these boxes shame to chuck them out..I think i read that memobox openbox skybox f5s is the same machine any help appreciated

I could be wrong but I think the openboxa5 is a very bad clone don't touch it

ive came to that conclusion as well thats why i was wondering if there is anything that could work with them, I havent paid for any and dont intend to unless i can get them to a workable state, the guy who has them told me they were just blank boxes when he got them (no software) so straight away the red flags came up.
