hey

Ive been playing around for 5 hours straight trying to get my dreambox working, for the free-to-air channels. Its starting to drive me mad now lol!!

I'm able to lock onto the satalittes but i am unable to get the channels - it will scan the channels but then when I go to go through them it says "removed listing" and I cant get anything at all - not even 1 program.

I dont know what to do !!! The 500s has gemini on it if that helps at all.

thanks in advance

Load the latest Captains settings and than try to see if you can get any picture.

hi,

they mean:

When you have installed gemini you need to press the blue botton on your remote ( blue pannel)

Then you need to chose something like ( downloads or addons in some off those submenus)

afther this you select setting, sattelite and the ndownloading the plugin whit the settings.

This is the easyiest way

The other way is using dreamboxedit to install a settinglist

The Captains settings are the services & bouquets settings which are preconfigured. You can see use program called dreamboxedit to ftp the settings to your dreambox and than you can select one of the preconfigured channels.

@ Busutti...

1st of all, if you are using Gemini get rid of it :)

Is your machine networked, does it have Internet access?
What is your signal strength/BER like on these transponders?

Are you on a fixed dish or h-h mount?

Which satellite is your dish pointing at?

<--SpiderPig added 1 Minutes and 46 Seconds later...-->

you do not need to clutter your dreambox with all of the satellites listed in the above posts.
The 500 is limited on memory so do not fill it with un-needed details.
Save the space for plugins!

98e to 58w is a bit much TBH :)

However it's simple enough to delete those that you can't recieve.

He can't mate.

It was just a general observation, once he's setup he can remove all the shit he doesn't need from his services and bouquets :)

Yes it has Gemini, whats the other Image I should get that is good for the 500-S's?

The dreambox is not networked, and signal strength for 28.2E (which im trying to get) is around 60% signal, 95% AER? (the one beginnign with A) and I get a BER of between 0 and 8000 (never stays at a certain number).

Im trying to aim it at the 28.2E.
