My box today V5s lost a lot of channels and i have updated to the latest list. After messing about for a while trying to get them back on, I realised that all horisontal channels were off, with signal intensity at 45% & quality at 10%. only vertical are on with signal intensity 90% & quality 75%. Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

It may be a problem with the box or LNB.

Do you have any other sat boxes you could try with your dish. Or you could try your box on a neighbours/friends dish.

If it's an LNB fault, it might be worth trying a different port on the LNB (if it's easily reachable).

If you have a digital voltage meter, you could try measuring the LNB voltage. Stick a pin in the LNB inner connector & measure the voltage between that & the outer thread. It should be around 13 - 14v on a vertical channel, & 18 - 19v on a horizontal channel.

Hi Do you have two cables from LNB or only one. If using a loopthrough cable then you can only watch same polarity as box which has cable from LNB ie if watching a vertical channel on master box then you wont get any horizontzal channels on second box. This is because first box will control LNB switching and not second box. You need to have both boxes on either vertical or horizontal at the same time for it to work.

Thanks guys for all your replies and help. I've tried everything and looks like the box is damaged. I'm pretty handy with a solder iron so I'm going to see what the problem is. If i see noticeable damage where would I go to replace a part etc... E.g. Capacitor etc... Thanks again
