how do i remove the black cover from cluster??
i try removing the black plastic from the board. look at picture .. circle in red..
could some one help out please.

you have 3 more of those black plastic in the lower area, right side from LCD above warning lights. Then I believe you have tiny locks around the connectors like the new ones have.

i removed the black plastic . right side of LCD.. i dont see the locks around the connectors..

Have you removed the Dill chip under the plug mate ?

flip the cluster on its backside and peek thru the gap between the connectors and the black cover where the pin numbers are stamped on all 4 corners of each connector, you'll see them

yes!! removed it. i dont see the 93C46 .. its suppose to be on the back correct??

the chip is in the white socket next the with connector

look for two eeproms. One above the 3 black plastic i mentioned on front side of circuitboard and one located in whats called the code plug or colored socket mentioned. The mileage in both need to match or you get a tamper dot.

they dont match.. so i change miles on colored socket.. then copy the file to front eerpom???
could some one change miles for me please.. original 228,354Miles, new 160,000miles..

I hope for you that you saved the original dumps. Put them back into the chips and start again. Just write the required miles/kms into both chips using the correct program for each chip. Arthur.
