SIMOS PCR2.1 R/W help

Hi!
I'm new in PCR2.1 programming and need some help. I have Geltto v54 EU. As instruction says first must unlock the ECU. I read that unlocking can be done by eprom programming or put ECU to boot and unlock by galetto.
After this Can I R/W ECU by OBD??? Or reading only by boot and after write through OBD connector?

2- close and install ecu on car
3- start car
4- stop car
5- read-write by obd

just be carefull , unlock it only one time.

you also can read ecu out,
feeds is all the same,
you're going to drive choose and you'll read.
So if you have to put the mini gender changer.
and everything worked perfect.

X17 can do now complete over obd without unlocking

It's nice that kess shows you if ecu is locked or unlocked

you may do all correct, and still get nothing in fgtech, very hit and miss as newer ecu less chance of unlock
i simply wont do this ecu, as 50 /50 success, including K tag, and fgtech,
and my solder work is 101% using correct resistors etc,

Why don't do it by eeprom?

with eprom u are safe , read/write easy

what tool is needed to unlock eeprom, as i understand need to desolder chip off pcb, and unlock this way ?
maybe i look into, as no more soldering up for no result,
i had a 2014 passat blue motion some weeks ago, couldnt unlock was told was security level to high for my k tag fw?

you need only connect fgtech, or other tools, in boot mode and unlock e2p...then you can connect ecu to car and read-write via obd

i do all pcr2.1 with MY fgtech and all job was ok (i made over 50 pcr)!

lucky you,,, me not so lucky maybe tool,,, E.u v54, very poor on this ecu,

no, is poor your tool not the ecu, change with one v53 upgraded on HW and SW and all problems will go away

I can confirm, made more then 100 with fgtech and 100% ok.

Here is pcr2.1 unlocker which you can unlock ecu trough eeprom by xpro(no need soldering).

you can boot this without soldering with kess and ktag , never had a problem

Hi mates! I tried many times to unlock eeprom with ktag but after that ecu still locked. I don´t know how I need to do. Can anybody help me? When that happend how I could unlock? I have original ktag and fgtech chinese.

just unlock with fgtech. all good. the kess will tell yiu if its unlocked or not after id. as for writing process i suggest allways use kess. i never had any problem. but a friend briked a pcr2.1 after writing failed with fgtech china clone v53
