hi Premier D
thanks for that
what kms is that
and that was the correct chip in the bcm and once I flash the bcm do I just plug the dash in last and it will update the dash

never done this late model
ive done a heap of earlier ones

also with the earlier 2010 to 2012 dashes
I change the top 2 or 3 lines and also change another value which is the checksum
I change them to 000 kms then use tech2 to program which ever kms I want
then once u program the kms with tech2 u need to read dump again and change the checksum value

does this have anything like that
as only 3 small sections where changed

just asking because I would have thought the 2014 dash would be harder to do than the earlier one

thanks for your help

ive powered up the cluster and when I remove ign power and just have batt and ground
the kms don't show like previous models

so now I will power up bcm and hook up the low speed can wire from bcm to dash and try get the kms to show on the dash
then once I got the kms showing ill try the file from premier d

hey ive powered up the bcm and put a scan tool onto it
BCM in scan tool says 25000 kms
thanks Premier D
I did some more research and I found that in the tacho new software the chev Camaro 24c16 (bcm) is the same settings as what you gave me
so ive now ive flashed the bcm
do u just leave the dash alone and plug everything in and it should read from the bcm and change the dash
ive read up somewhere u might have to flash the dash with tis2web to make it accept the new kms from the bcm

im going out to car on Monday to try it all out

thanks

Five lines on the bench or in the car?
My experience with other GM with mileage in the BCM, on the bench mileage will show for a few seconds then you get the lines. Sometimes you have to drive a couple of KM for the dash to update.

ok cool
il go out to car again in 2 or 3 weeks
once its drivable again then ill do afew kms and see what happens

the vf commodore is based on same platform as a later model Camaro
so if anyone has done a late model Camaro these should be similar way

Thanks for all your help
i got car to my house
just changing those three small spots in the bcm is correct Premier D
then all I needed to is plug bcm in and turn car on and dash read it from bcm
took it for drive and did 4 kms no problem

also cj told me to go to tachosoft online so I did and got some credits
and tried it again using Camaro 24c32 and uploaded the dump and made it to what customer wanted
and it all worked good

So no need to touch dash. Which is good cause they re a pain to remove

great to know. i'll have to remember that for the future!!
ive had cruze and rodeos that will flash up the number then go to dashes and stay that way until we change the dash chip though... but they must be a different system to the VF
