Hi, good morning.
Anyone please helps me on how to read this TMS370.
I tried with X-Prog with two adapters, and always I get same error. "Bootloader initialising error".
I do connect external power to Xprog, 15V. as it says in manual. One doubt I have is those 15V. but how amny amps??

Any tip please on how to read this??

Thanks very much.
Regards

If you think your adapter cant supply enough current, just connect it to an adjustable lab power supply set at 15V, and turn the amps limit to max, then xprog will pull as much as it needs.

It should need way less than 1 amp anyway.

Hi there

Had the same issue and since a friend gave me the tip, I read the TMS370 without a power supply.
The adaptors that come with XProg don't connect properly on the TMS370 chip (The small TMS370). WHat you need to do is don't pop the chip down fully into the adaptor. Simply press it till only about halfway and hold it in with your thumb and then press read and VOILA........

I have same problem " Bootloader inistilisation error " in tms 370C036 ( tms from iaw 6r.30 twingo ,tool : xprog v5.55 clone with dongle ) I use adapter P/C:1 002-0002
on this adapter written Plcc28 but it is an Plcc44 , is that right or I m wrong ?

I want to downgrade v.5.51..could anyone read this chip with v.5.51 ?

Reading TMS370c036 using standard xprog adaptor P/C:1 002-0002 is not possible. The reason is that the adapter suits C042 for example wich have different pinout. Use the datasheet to displace pinout from 042 to 036 and xprog reads 036 even without exteral power. Tested and 100% working
