Hi,

I was changing remote case and microswitches in the key and the remote lost his functions so I tried to reprogram but I cannot do this. The car does not entering the programming procedure. All fuses are ok, I disconnected battery and tried again and still nothing. What can be the problem? I'm doing 6x ignition ON and then OFF and then warning light should flash but theres nothing. Where can be a problem?

Check the Key " in " Switch on the Ignition Barrel. If this still thinks the key is in the Ignition then it will not enter programming.

Try take out the remote pcb from key and cycle the key into programming mode. Your key is ID40 or 46?
I remember that Nissan US need cycle 8 times. You can try it

Transponder 4D. I tried also 8 times and nothing but will try it like you suggest - without remote pcb. Thanks for your interest.

Hi had this a few times......maybe the problem maybe not

Does the car have an aftermarket radio ??

If so take the face of the radio then try again
for some reason it blocks the central locking from entering programming mode

Maybe it's for new key remote. Here is olde original remote, so he need resync with car system. It is weird that car not enter programming mode sync.

The Nissan Navara with the remote in the photo is diagnostics only
never got on into programming mode with the ignition on & off way tried on many but yet to happen

Works with all others but not this model

Yes, this is the remote from picture but I never thought it need to be code diagnostically... If so, what tool I need for this? I have MVP, SBB. I also saw today a bit different procedure given by 3D Group member. It's almost the same as mentioned, but he said: 6x ON/OFF and then put key out of ignition.

HI after the 6 on & off's are you taking the key out of the ignition ??

99% of Nissans program this way with this key type

NISSAN
Remote Control Fob Procedures:
The Central Door locking is controlled by the Multi-Remote Control system which controls
the door locking, door super locking and emergency hazard reminders.
When the doors are locked and unlocked the unit flashes the hazard lights once for lock and twice for unlock.
A maximum of four remote controls are allowed to be programmed:
ALMERA
ALMERA TINO
PRIMERA
MAXIMA
MICRA
SERENA
VANETTE CARGO
TERANO II
Ensure all the doors have been unlocked, either by using a good transponder key or remote
control plip key.
Procedure:
1. Turn the ignition switch from Position 0 to ON 6 times within 10 seconds.
2. Next, turn ignition switch to OFF position. Take key out of the ignition.
3. Wait 2 seconds then the system will enter programming mode and will flash the warning
lights twice.
4. Press and HOLD the unlock button on the Plip.
5. While pressing the unlock button, press the lock button 3 times.
6. Release the unlock button.
7. The warning lights will flash once to indicate successful programming.
8. Repeat procedure 4 to 7 for up to 4 plip key’s.
9. When completed turn ignition ON, and the warning lights will flash 2 times.
10. Remove key, and check all plip key’s for operation.
NOTE : The programming mode will stop when either the ignition is switch ON, 4 plip keys
have been programmed or no input signal either from the switch or plip keys has been received
for 120 seconds.

what estate was saying is the 'key in' switch. the switch in the barrel that tells the system the key is inside the ignition. these commonly fail and came issues by saying the key is in the ignition so won't let the remote entry work

2 wire sensor on top of the barrel. Disconnect it and try again.

on those switches, there is a little spring that breaks & can easily be replaced which also solves the problem

The remote is now working but I don't know what was causing the problem of not entering the procedure as the other guy connected some device and checked something and then replace some part customer don't know what it was, but for sure he did not look around ignition. Now the car entering procedure every time: 6x ON and then LEAVE key in IGN for 2 sec.

Thanks everybody for interest and all the suggestions. Little problem but important...
