No
Marshal Matrac TX KU17 at tyre reviews - the online tyre guide (http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Marshal/Matrac-TX-KU17.htm)
Only had a quick look up nige, but from what I can see these tyres understeer when on the front, and slip on the back. Basically they have no grip. but they look nice. depends what you want mate, are you driving your mondeo to a show for the weekend? or are you racing shoemakkkkker there?
computer says noooo!

cheers bud... was the feedback i was hoping to get..

I do drive the car like its stolen sometimes, i love booting it about on the turbo... However i do also try and drive nicely to see how high i can get my mpg etc.

Will have to look again, saw some nice Toyo T1R, some Vredestein UltraC and also some cheaper Falken FK452. KNow anything about those?

i wished i had got the toyo ones when I got my last ones, just to try them, i did a read up and they said they were 'alright'.
I ended up getting some pirelli p zeros I think, even tho the review said they didn't last long. I have had no scary moments whatsoever with the zeros, altho i only have a family car, aston martin laguna estate, renault sorry.
I love my tyres generally, and do do (extinct?) a bit of research b4 I buy.

yes mate I have seen this site B4... And I can't remember why I didn't buy from here, but I know I didnt. I remember the THE PRICE wAS alright, but for some reason, stock probably, I didnt buy. Them toyo tr1's seem ok from what I remember, if you do buy em, I would be very interested in your opinion on them. In fact whatever you get, I am interested in what you think of them.

It's funny I should get to read this thread, I thought it was long dead, but just so happens, my back un's are in need of replacement. Forget what they are at the moment. And I normally like good ones.. with a pretty pattern of course. But, and I know you should never start a sentence with but, but, credit crunch and all that, I am tempted to cut cost a bit.
One of the reasons I am thinking this is because I had the trailor blow out a tyre, and I took the trailer to a back street place... 12 quid instead of ?45 from kwiksave. And the local taxi was getting his tyres replaced there too.
Not sure what to do, no immediate hurry, can't see the canvas yet,

Just bought a couple for the back, fedral hero's. Cheap buggers, but I had to get something quick. The missus tried to tax the car, and then found out the MOT was expired. So got these ?45'ers. Not tested em in the wet yet, but dry aint too bad. Seen some Continental Sport 2 on ebay that I am following, but for now, I am sticking with hero's (god, they even sound cheap).
Now it's fingers crossed for the MOT today.
