After the change of course on 71000KM when connected to a car on the odometer displays 400000 after rereading the memory contents change HELP

Sorry,only copped this now,thought it was sorted...Your original mileage wasn't 400k,it was 369631 !!!

For future reference,to get a speedier resolution,please include this !!

He needs to write the file, then verify it wrote properly by reading it again before installing. Can these be powered on the bench to check or do they need CAN to wake them up?

If the file is writing properly, then there must be something in the vehicle overwriting after install.

I did this car before with my script it worked ok, but i see now (thanks to Johnner) that the checksum wasn't calculated properly. So i was lucky i guess. Now i do these cars by obd but i change my scripts anyway (there are 2 version so far i found).

Kinda on topic, was playing around with a GM dash and FF all the lines that contain the mileage, on power up the original milage displayed and dump was back to original again. I expected to see "error" or "------"

Curious to know where else it stores the last mileage, or is it in the processor possibly?

I did this car before with my script it worked ok, but i see now (thanks to Johnner) that the checksum wasn't calculated properly. So i was lucky i guess. Now i do these cars by obd but i change my scripts anyway (there are 2 version so far i found).Last update, i checked my own files, i edited the citan manually last time (with the right checksum) but forgot to change the scripts sorted, so Johnners file must work 100%. Thanks.

Ex: 45.000km -- 37 50 C8 AF 00 00 --
45000 DEC to HEX AF C8
AF C8 HEX to SWAP C8 AF
C8 AF HEX to XOR 37 50

Yes..that is correct until you get to 65536....what do you do then ?
