1- you have to know 2 pin, original from car, and donor one. Example: 1234 and 4321
2- enter instruments with donor installed. Enter login and put donor PIN (4321), CODE accepted. Then go to adaptation and enter channel 50. Then enter ORIGINAL PIN with a 0 before (01234) press test and save. Pin and vin changed. Then adapt keys as usual with original PIN. Job done!!!

With RB8 clusters are bit different. I use original ODIS to adapt it and finish with vvdi2 to adapt all keys.

@lidons I think hiplitogt can test by other tool too,if it's also 7953,so~ hahaI mean like in mb vvdi that you can make keys without car, if I read key data I can see what keys are used. But if I want to make key with this data tells me to connect to car. It would be great to make it without car, it only has to write key data on key so it should work without car... I don't know if I explain it well... Will try to make a video/photos to show what I mean.

No , it can not do miles , only key , and you have to pay with points, which no one ever explain how to get points.

WHEN EDC 17 will be fix to be able to red CS, MAC and Pin by OBD????????????????????????

This function never worked since day 1 in VVDI2 and old VVDI.
Above function can not be use in cars with EDC 17 by OBD , so it is useless in many cars.

@yugo45 . You can't even get pin and cs with the file read in boot mode ( flash + eep ) , if You don;t have condor . Only if you have vvdi 1 .
And You want by obd ? But I totaly agree .

Otherwise I read pin from 5 peugeot 508 and one citroen ds5 in like 15 minutes . All of them, at a meeting with some friends.
That I like verry much, as I am a PSA person .

@louis21, please send to my email full cas plug schematics to test, because I can't believe this can't work. I already made keys reading cas3++ with vvdi prog and used key file make, but I want to try with cas plug.

Also, I know with file key make I can make keys, but if I use a file key info already saved I can't make key, tells me unknown file in program. Tested with my wife's car which it has cas2.

Looks like I have been missing out a lot lately......
On the FEM question couple pages back... I WAS CERTAIN. No guessing

I had 2012 Passat CC (US) All Keys LOST and could not read anything from ECM ME 17.5.6 either. Very disappointing tool. So far, I regret buying it . Maybe later I'll appreciate it more. I used to do all of it's functions (or almost) with FVDI.
As far as BMW goes, I ONLY use Explorer tool, NEVER LET YOU DOWN. I restore cars with it after boys with vvdi's poking BMW's OBD ports....
Tried to program RR Sport 2008 but that tool didn't like the transponder in the key I had, only 7936 needed, so I decided to use what it asked and then add a remote key with 7941 type transponder later with another tool ( i may have messed up transponder types, plz forgive me)

Wel i did spare key and have to remove FEM to prepair it first before add spare key. After fem prepaired then spare key can be done via obd2 after very very easy

----On Kessy system you have to have Kessy Key brand new or Buy form Dealer.
If you use used key and chnage transponder car will start only if you put key close to coil ( where is normaly igntion tumbler is)
Remove dash , Read eeprom with programmer and save originla file.
Do service mode , I do this manual way, open originla file in Hex Editor add at line 1420 and 1430 all FFFFFFF.

Write molded file back to cluster and put cluster in car.

VERY IMPORTANT : Do not EXIT any function till all is done.
If you have key form dealer then you can learn it right a way ,If you have New Kessy key then you need to read Immo block again , then make a dealer key .
After this press button ADD KEY. Then choose second option Learn Key with security code and follow instruction.. If you want to learn only 1 key you will see 0-1 then 1-1 .
At it end before you press OK on pop up message you need to turn ignition Off/On After THAT you see 1-1, then press OK on Pop up message and wait till 1-1 goes away. All keys are learn successful.



-----Other way if you have only Used key with new ID48 ,:
Remove dash , Read eeprom with programmer and save originla file.

I do not like to do that , I like to have back up eeprom .If something goes wrong , big problems.With back up eeprom it is much save , GQ 4X read/write in circuit with out any problems.

From 1 to 7 .when you have all key lost .
#1 is cars with Micronas dash and for Service mode use VVDI and it needs in most cars made 2007 and up, Before that all key lost will work direct OBD.
#2 it is different service mode that I gave solution is other post
#3 to 7 my solution works in all of them.

I have seen this problem before in early sw version, and now I use Passat B6 menu and read 7th byte from key , woks all the time.

I have made a tp23 with 7 bytes with Tango.
I checked the tango made 7th byte cs, checked with tango 7bytes are fine.
I check with vvdi2 the 7 bytes, it freezes up.!!!!!!!!!!




Then i make a tp23 with 7 bytes with vvdi2.
I search for 7th byte with vvdi2, now it does not freeze up!!!!!!!!. and finds correct bytes.


The main difference here is, vvdi2 dealerkey locks page1,
Tango does not lock a dealerkey, page1 stays same.

I haven't got to rework... And tested in a lot of clusters because I retrofit them to other cars and I always delete vin and odo...

VVDI prog can erase 080D0WQ and 160D0WQ but for M35080 V6 there is this CodiProg MKII from Elprosys that can erase all of them and some with the clip without need to desolder the chip.

Just buy new chip, they are not expansive. utsource is good place to buy it.

Safe remained on dash with new key but original worked fine.
Tried a few times witout success with VVDI2 then used other programmer for new key no problem.
I have used VVDI2 on this year and model before without problems.

Let me say my opinion:

The problem of this tools and many of the tools is a GOOOD MANUAL. you have to teach yourself if you want to know how it works. Yesterday I bought MPV Pro from Advanced Diagnostics. I included all available options and token free annual subscription. Well, when I talk to the commercial about manuals he told me I have to call service center, but service center won't talk with me if I don't do their training course (costs 750€). I told him "I spent 7000€ and are you telling me that I have to pay for a ~~~~ing shit training course (I tell this because people went to this course and told me they know the same than before they went) because you don't have manuals and in service center will not accept my call?" It made the silence... The same prob with vvdi2, vvdi mb and many many many of tools. For example , I don't know how to virgin and readapt an ezs, manual doesn't explain it... I will know it when I need it, experimenting...

That's my opinion.

Make good video manuals, this tools are not bad, but needs some help...

Look it is not just me , to many people point to this problem.
You are correct , it will display Pin , But ONLY pin.

After reading ECU message will come that Pin is only can be read, to get CS and MAC you need to read it in boot mode.
But MED17 will display everything, Pin, CS and MAC.

This is the problem that needs to be fix, when read OBD , need to display Pi, CS, and MAC. Not JUST Pin.

Cant agree with it. Once you developed MB tool you stopped any work on VAG cars. On last update you added support for 2014up in VW but I presume it was only because you copied it from Smok. Otherwise it wouldn’t be there for the next decade.

Man, please, spent 7000€ and you charge me 1€ for a database program... Do you want know what I think? SHIT!!! Their forum is not updated, I don't like the way they use the customers. IQ program only tell you "~~~~, you need pincode" Some people told me is the best general tool to program keys... I don't know how would be the others.... So, please, don't blame VVDI guys, they are trying to help. At least they reply in this forum and in other forums... Every tool has bugs, but I think it works better than others, and half price... This opinion is because there's nothing perfect, but if you choose it, you choose the best of the worst, believe me. And you don't pay a bunch of money to get very very dissapointed when you start to use it.

My VVDI prog + VVDI2 FULL + VVDI MB + Mini Condor + all adaptors cost me 6500€. It gave me in 5 months a lot of money. MVP Pro cost 7000€ and I'm very very dissapointed. For sure every tool is not perfect but believe me, they are the best of the worst... Yesterday I went to a friend's workshop and started to use the MVP. 1st car: peugeot 207 CAN'T READ PIN CODE. Second car: Peugeot Boxer 3 (fiat one) CAN´T READ PIN CODE. Third car: SEAT Ibiza my2001, READ PIN CODE OK. WOW!!!! Can read pin code on this cars with ANY tool!!!! So 3 of 3, ~~~~ING SHIT.

That's my opinion, I'm not endorsed to VVDI, I only try to OPEN MINDs. As you see, I spent a lot of money to try to make my jobs on the best ways. I have a lot of original equipment (VAS5054, ICOM Next, All Dimsport products (trasdata, newgenius), swiftec, VVDI) and I think VVDI is not the best, but, for me, makes good their work. Also I always said, when will be a problem, I will publish it as I'm publishing this good opinion.

I really don't understand your frustration about MVP. Maybe you should just get some information before? Search IQ what it says. I did a favor and found this for you (Peugeot 207): 'Because of the variation of BSI applications for this vehicle, PIN code reading is not 100% - please report all results to technical@advanced-diagnostics.com'. So you can't blame the tool man. But from ECU with working key should work no problem. Maybe you don't even know such function exist. But I tried several time reading PIN from ECU in PSA CAN and always success. Once I even read pin code from ECU in all keys lost scenario in some model not listed in IQ that it is possible to pull the PIN and I was amazed. About Fiat I don't know, haven't really tried rading PIN on fiat with this tool. Generally this IS most reliable and it's so easy to use. All info u can find on IQ which is FREE. You can access it also via mobile phone so don't really know what your problem is. This tool never let me down, always does what it says. They always release software when they are sure that everything is tested and will work safely. Start using tool for some more time and maybe you can share my opinion. Try it on some cars like newer Ford, Nissan, Honda - you will be amazed. And for older cars it work well and have the easiest way of programming keys. Example Audi A4 B7 WFS4 just put new key with plain ID48, click 'add key' 1 min job done and there are many, many such features which work flawlessly.

And I never read a manual for this, except about old Ford Pats systems or Nissan NATS which is GENERAL knowledge. Everything stated in IQ - work or not work, which dongle, which transponder, quick instructions about remote etc etc. and many videos on how the programming proccess really look like and it's so easy, just like read carefully what tester display, IGN ON/OFF, push enter etc. Very user friendly.



Sorry for offtopic. I don't own xhorse products so can't say anything about them but I just don't like how people saying something is sh1t when they can't use tool properly or just tried it on 3 cars and they have opinion about whole tool which support so many, many models.

I did a favor and found this for you (Peugeot 207): 'Because of the variation of BSI applications for this vehicle, PIN code reading is not 100% - please report all results to technical@advanced-diagnostics.com'. Or add function to fem bdc key learning add key--> load dump from ecu. And automaticly find isn from dump.

Because now only on petrol cars from ecu with vvdi prog.
Its would be veeery useful for all keys lost fem bdc authotisation function.

in FEM BDC need add like in cas modules ,than this authorisation will be very good and can make full job on edc17 ecus diesels. as now only half job. Or please give info how to find manualy isn from edc17 ecus. function add key and load ecu dump to automaticly find isn from dump like in photo

Immo 5 do not have MAC and Pin, it is 16 byte long CS. You need to use EDC 17/MED17 dump tool.

You need to go to "Key learn" Immo 4 VW, NEC+24C64 dashboard after 2014

Yes you need to make a dealer key first , then Learn key .

Can you tell me where did you get unlocked file for key, did you read unlock key first , then use that data to write eeprom in Locked key ?

Today I had a lot of problems making a golf v 2007 micronas dash to add key. Reads ok make dealer key but when I go to key learn (program tells me go to key learn) and doesn't program. I managed to add key directly to immo but with avdi... Can somebody help? I want to know what I'm doing wrong...

If dealer key is ok ( cs precoded ), learn with vcds.
It work's on visteon with vcds , evem whitout precoded key. But you have "safe" message.
But both keys work ok .

Iff key is already precoded with cs, them you use the normal procedure on rosstech site .

Hello everyone!!! I have a problem with my brand new VVDI2. Today I wanted to add a key to a 2006, 1 series, E87, with CAS2. Nothing complicated, I taught, let's get my mew VVDI2 tool and do this verry simple job. Than I went ahead and undated the software and firmware to version 4.7.5 that is the last version, but no change. Long story short my VVDI2 can't connect to CAS2, did anyone have this problem and can help me resolve it? I'm adding 2 photos of what is happening! Thank you verry much!!!

Check OBD connector in the Car. OBD in Bmw is piece of shit.

Common m8, I can not believe you can not figure out this .
You have to click Allow User , then you can chnage data , Copy data for one to other .

You have to make sure Power class is same on both ECU . I have seen this problem many times and people use other part number of replacement ECU .

Seems the VVDI2 has some issues on the last versions as well with BMW.

My friend. Do you really think I’ll gambling to buy Ecu with not same no. for about 300€? Of course the no. are the same as ori Ecu. I always try to swap with same no. or checking replacements. I’ll try Monday to add this Ecu by avdi. And let you guys know if will work.
