Hi:

Today is the 24 of January. copying 48 is not activated.

This is strange, we are Xhorse dealers and we can active this at the moment, almost every case.
I just have activated one now and was in 30 seconds.

Yes the chips are virgin I tested 3 and a remote key also try add directly to the immo with the same result the dash shows "no key"

What i will do is add ID48 directly to IMMO
I did many that cluster T6 cluster BW/ and 3D graphic color , all is working
no cluster issue, no vvdi issue, you must do little wrong

to mexjack i have this same problem i think you shoul use new key to golf 7 id 88 not id 48

I agree but if he's failing and convinced he's using raw id48 and still not working then perhaps this will get it finished for him.

Do you have megamos 48 where you can change id?
Please try to write ID on megamos to the same ID of working key and prepare dealer key then.

I had this issue on a T6 where it just accept transponder with specific ID range.

abrites support write to my about that key The information that I wrote below is what we've seen in the log-files.
In our logs the transponder was not the correct one.

What are you complaining about!?????????? Price is one for 96bit id48 copy combined with MQB. They doesn't sell as seperate and that's it! That would be the same as if someone would complain not to have able to buy VW immo part alone form VVDI2 because you don't need all VAG cars!!! If the reason is price you are complaining then maybe go and buy Abrites tools and options. Will see what you will say then...

Hi, is it normal on audi rb4 and rb8 dash when go to key learning, on the right top side of screen, option diag is greyed. And can not see what type dash we have. I manage that with diagnose, instrument cluster, it give all details, but here on the key learning wont work.

There are two ways depending of ECU type...
1. If it is EDC16 VVDI2 can read 6 bytes from it then read 7 byte from working key, precode 48CR and learn with VCDS.
2. Read ignition switch (Motorola 9S12) and make key by dump.

I m expecting vw Crafter.

add1. No vvdi can't read ecu in crafter.
Only connects in diagnostic mode but doesn't read EE.
Verified on many cars.
Always had to take out ezs.

I had 2 passats to do tonight.
2013 no problem via obd (passat b6/cc med17)

2015 passat I couldn't get past security access.
It said at bottom left of the screen "security access failed. Switch ignitionoff then on and try again", so I did that and nothing happened, and I couldn't click on the box to read pin and cs to try again.
I waited around 5 minutes and then exited the menu and it said "data still processing, do you want to exit?"

Should I have waited longer, or can 2015 passat not be done on vvdi2 via obd?

Has anyone come across this?

Yes i tread with cas dme synchronisation also with fvdi autologic but the end can with vvdi now car start with original key but with second key dont start only remote control eork maybe becouse i try to unlock key with key info and add again

This is a problem with VVDI2 from the birth of VVDI2. The merc Immo Boxes don't work on VVDI2 and the Techs don't bother fixing this modules or don't car about it.....

VIA OBD yesterday I could not do a CAS2 for a BMW 325 E90 2006. I have done afew CAS2's before with no problem.

Customers original was prox. So I was trying to add key, not all keys lost.

I could connect, then when clicking on "GET KEY INFO", bottom left of screen kept saying 'security access failed!'.

Hardware v1.5
Software firmware version 5.2.5.

Im thinking either something wrong with car, or the latest update?

Old cluster:
Read immo data and mileage. Save file.

New cluster.
Read immo data and mileage. Save file.
Open old cluster immo data file. Write it to cluster. Write original mileage to cluster.

Reset cluster, job done and it will work with original keys. If any problems recode keys, but I never needed it.

10 ADAPTATION - select channel 50 and in put there ORIGINAL PIN (ex 54321)

So you've read immodata and adapt existing key only for testing ?? I have customer with the same car for spare key but all suppliers near me dont have this type of key...I had to read it because I updated the ECU for Europe. but the car had to go to Audi. I can not change the "power class" of the car in ELV. This S3 you have to make key is Europe version? can you check the "power class" it has?

No, it is USA version.

reading dash eeprom rb4 audi a4 2002 ok
saved eeprom dump ok
changed millage and write back eeprom then dash stay on even with no egnishion removed battrey and put it back againe
worked ok but millage didnt changed
tryed to read againe eeprom and it shows 00000 000000 in pin and millage

I want to adapt a used MED9.1 ECU in another car (Scirocco engine change, want to change the VIN and the CS of the ECU) with VVDI2.

I have the IMMO of the old ECU + Cluster and all IMMO Data of the Scirocco where I want to put it into.

I think you started wrong.
First you need to read CS and pin form this used ECU,Hit Automatic detect.

When read that , hit "Read" at top screen.
Then when screen comes On, you put old CS , VIn and pin and hit Write.

BSM2 made after 06-2014 has locked MCU and not supported with any tool, except Online ODIS .

Hi there guys.....

Had a client with BMW X3 2012 with CAS 4 to make a spare key.
I removed the CAS and unplugged the Unit (ZGW) alongside the CAS to make it easier for me to remove the CAS as I couldn't see well in the dark.
I then proceeded to read CAS 4 with VVDI prog.
Out of 9 tries it failed to read CAS ID. I tried many times and tried the different options of removing the components / cutting tracks and finally it read the DUMP.
First dump was incomplete and I got it to read second which was also incomplete.
When it read the 3rd time it read properly because now VVDI 2 opens the file.
I programmed the key and walked back to the car to refit the CAS only to find that the Tail / Brake lights are on.
I thought the system would reset once I reconnected everything up......
Nothing NOTHING......

I then disconnected the battery and left it for 10 seconds and reconnected. The lights now remianed off but still nothing. I tried putting the old key / new key alongside the steering column and nothing. When you press the hazards then the hazards work and then if you turn on the park lights they will come on.....

I really need to get this vehicle back to the client:giveup::sulkiness::hurt::hopelessness::frow n-new:

Really appreciate anybody that can help me with this issue.....

Yes with MCU mask:FFFF (not CAS ID) it still reads the MCU and if something is not right always check your wires!!!

When I try to write it says "MCU is CRYPT, NEED DECRYPT".
I then pressed RESET SEC and it goes for a while then says
CRYPT:FF OPERATION FAILED

Should I run the FORCE UNLOCK?

You need to supply eeprom and flash to make immo on.
If you provide CS, login and VIN too somebody can prepare dump with new data.

Try more with standart UNLOCK and connect 12V power to programmer. If still no luck then try with Force Unlock. Sometimes need to heat the MCU.

Agree ,Flash looks OK, but Eeprom look very strange , even if is Virgin ECU it should decrypt it.

Also if you look at eeprom at address line 0x08b80, it has this

After 2012 you have to have function "Read direct at ECU", which in not available in VVDI2.
Other company's has this for long time, just not VVDI2.

Yes I have logs, I will send you tomorrow.

I also have immo dump of the van and both transponders programmed (Not working), so I will program this immo to another pre 2014 tacho and test on bench if key is working, then:

-If key is not working maybe there is a bug at VVDI with some of this tachos and dealer key is not maked fine.
-If working, then algo for dealer key of 2017 cars changed, strange, but could be.

I will post results and give you tomorrow more info ;)

I spend all the morning testing VVDI and I found the problem, there is a bug making "OEM DEALER KEY", the function that make a key ready to start using old ID of immo without programming new ID to immo, and this function is not working good, say that key is maked and loked fine, but if you try key, key is not working.
I tried a lot of times and this function is not working.

I think that I used this function in the past with vvdi 1 and 5th antenna and was working fine...

It is not about comparing price,
This problem exist in VVDI 1 ( That is over 3 years), and they never fix it, Every time me or other report this problem it has been ignored.

Also other function "Read direct at ECU" is separate form read OBD, and it is very helpful in ECU made after 2012.
This is what needs to be worked on , instead Cloning ID48, If I can read cluster then I can make key .I do not care if it takes 10-15 to remove cluster in all key lost situation.

SMOK X-Dash was behind VVDI for long time, but look now , In IMmo tool you have this function and you ca read MED17/EDC17 immo data with out any problem till 2015.

Example , you have ID48 both licensee 96 bit and other , they said you can do all key lost via OBD, now,
Tell me how to do all key lost OBD in EDC 17 if his function does not work?
How you will get 6 bytes from ECU via OBD?

I know that , That was my point when I said other function "Read direct at ECU".
Even AVDI can not read via OBD plug after 2012, But how hard is to make plug connector and read direct on ECU at car ?
You do not need even that , all you have to do connect CAN-H and CAN -L at ecu direct to bypass Can Gateway.

It is much easy then pulling ECU out , open it and read with boot mode, which will need other tool , like tuning tool.

why did you tried to unlock chip in first place? for key backup is enough. did you run backup first? if yes just crack chip again and then write backup to cas.

Make sure original and replacemnt cluster are same made, Like VDO to VDO , or Magneti Marelli to Magneti Marelli.

I strongly recommend you make full autoscan back up ( If possible with VCDS ) , and read ABS coding and save it .
This needs to be done because , when you put it in service mode it will delete ABS coding, VVDI has on left lower corner back up ABS function , but it is better to have 2 back up files .

After you back up ABS ,
You need to read eeprom and immo data form original dash and safe it .

Then you need to read same form replacement cluster, but on replacement cluster if you do not have working key , you have to put car in Service mode .This has to be done with programmer that ca read 24c32/64 chip.
After you do that , you need to put Custer in Car ,
With VVDI read eeprom OBD and load original eeprom and hit WRITE .
After write eeprom , just load original immo data form original cluster and write it ,
After that Reset cluster and car should start.

After car start you need to back up ABS coding and adopt ABS sensors .

Try more with standart UNLOCK and connect 12V power to programmer. If still no luck then try with Force Unlock. Sometimes need to heat the MCU.

I managed to get it unlock and it read the ID. Then when I tried to write it said CHIP is CRYPT. I then tried again unlock. Eventually when using heat at aroun 100Degrees it started writing. But then it stopped and gave error. I tried again and again and again and then eventually I used the FORCE unlock and it says SUCCESS but when you read ID it says FFFF.....
Seems the CAS is now dead. Can I buy another CAS which I found on EBAY but the part number differs. I have the D-Flash original of this car and I also have downloaded another P-flash which matches the original part number. If I write it to the other CAS from ebay will it work?

Passat USA has immo in dashboard so normal procedure for NEC 24C32/64.
In allkeylost situation you must do servce mode in eeprom (read with programmer-make service mode-write it with programmer-write ori eeprom by obd-read immodata-make dealer key, key learn...)
The best is to make it on bench. In car you have to force ignition (short 1 and 16 car OBD). Save ABS coding or unplug ABS before you start all operation...

Hi there

There is a bug in the VVDi2 transponder maker. The Kia Carnival 93C46 Module. When you put ID48 and tell it to write then VVDI2 crashes.
We tested it on 2 different pcs with 2 different VVDI2 units. So this is a bug in VVDI2 software.
I then tried TM100 and it worked confirming a bug in VVDI2. Please fix this bug in future update......

if your VVDI 2 have china data base , and you use EU remote - this is normal
also in reverse way
you must use Eu remote + customize VVDi to EU

or use CHINA remote and keep china data base

if you install new SW , system automatically download CH database.
you must delete file, connect VVDI, run software and proper database will be download
if you have already CH , not always can be overwrite

I bought a bunch of remotes some time ago and there were no mentioning if they are China or EU remotes! Now that Samic has changed my default data base to EU now my remotes will not work because they are China!????? So that means i have to throw them out!???? Is this how it should work!? Even now there are no knowing what version remotes are when you buy them anywhere!!! Pretty angry here...

P.S. Would be glad if someone can post here the Chinese remote data base so i can still use my already bought (it looks like Chinese version) remotes.

Thanks! This solution works and now i can still use my remotes without need to buy new EU remotes which are sold in unknown places.... Samic or anyone from Xhorse should explain this!!! It is not fair to customers!

Passat b6. Pin code reading failed.
Ecu simos ppd 1.5 - reading data failed.
From IC it reads a pin that is not valid.
Tomorow I will get the dump from CCM, as I have no other solution.

Maybe only edc16 work by obd.

Any Ideea what tool can make - write a key to Grand Vitara 2007 ?
I have one that has original key but ecu dump corrupted.

SW 2210 is 2013-2014. Not working with vvdi

Yes it can and i got the China data base file from another user and now i can make my remotes again! If even this would not work then i would be very angry with Xhorse for F...ing up their customers. Yesterday i ran through a lot of Xhorse remote sellers and none of them writes in their remote descriptions what versions of remotes they are selling!!!!! I still want some explanation from Samic or someone other from Xhorse. Maybe you Maartinj have some information about this!??

VVDI2 has basically all diagnostic functions like VCDS. The only difference is description for measurement, adaption and fault codes.

But basic functions like adaption of remote, learning immo3 via adaption channel 50 is perfectly working with VVDI2 too

Using truecode I read 93C86 from grande punto 2007. Could not precode transponder using VVDI2 immo data tool. Says "unknown version" anyone had this before? Or is the new update? I've done plenty of fiat 500 before and should work the same. Dumps attached

Agree, I don't bother adapting remote with vvdi2. Adaptation has never worked for me

Can someone explain strange situation about audi a4 b7 remote programming.
Owner came i made new key . And adapted with vcds chanel 46 as i remember wimdow 21 all was ok.
Next time same car came again to adapt remote as usual i took vcds ch 46 and look for adapt window 21 . Its dissapeared in any chanel i couldnt found where to adapt . That was strange. Its was same car. Than came b6 model also there was no function in ch46 to adapt remote. In other ch too. Any one knows something?

The problem is that not just VVDI, all other tools except VCDS use genetic ftdi driver .
Problem come when you install one device with this driver , you can not install other . Because Win7 do not know how to separate this driver between devices like Win XP.
Only Win XP can do this , separate this driver bewteen devices.

I had same problem and had to find Laptop with Win XP. I install first SMOK which use same driver and after that I was not able to install VVDI or any other device with ftdi driver.

Only solution was is , to ,make own driver with own name , example "VVDI Driver installer" like VCDS did , but of course this cost money which no one want to inverts and spend money on this.

Struggling to do a lost key job for 2012 VW Touran (date on sticker is 19/09/2012), keep getting a non-standard upload fail error.
Select NEC+24c64
Select Service Mode
Load original 24c64 file
Save modified service mode file.
Write modified file to 24c64.
Connect on bench.
Read Flash or Load Original 24c64 file and write.
Tries security log in but get the error.
