Hi all
I am from the west midlands area
I have a few missing channels

I have got 2 X Arnet A700C (Kryptview) boxes

Box 1has got all channels
Box 2 has got a few missing - sky sports 2 - sky premier are just a couple to mention
I have downloaded the latest flash 12/07/2009 from this site and installed it onto box 2 but I still have the problem with the lost channels (by the way thanks for the updated version, the epg works great)
I have factory reset and rescanned over 30 time?s to-day but I still fail to get the channels
The odd thing is the other box 1 has 295 channels and Box 2 is only finding 270

I have tried a factory reset and rescan on box 2 where box 1 is normally used but still the missing channels will not reveal themselves
If I put box 1 in the position that I use box 2, I can still assess all the channels?
I have not tried to put the new flash version onto box 1 yet because I don?t want to be in the same predicament as I am with box 2

Sorry it so long winded, I have tried to give you all the facts as I have them

Many thanks and hopefully someone can help me with this.

[QUOTE=guinness;244494]Hi all
I am from the west midlands area
I have a few missing channels

I have got 2 X Arnet A700C (Kryptview) boxes
A 750 model has a power-scan function in menu
When enabled put box in standby for 1 hour, it will manually scan all TP's.
If this function is not on 700 model you have some work to do.
On box 1 go to TP edit, scroll down thru TP list, note all TP values.
On box 2 go to TP edit, any TP values not present, you can add them
manually, just go to bottom of list,hi-lite empty line & add TP value.
Then try several scans, use different legacy options each time.
If this fails re-flash with 13/03/09 and re-scan

Hi,
I have the same problem (but I have an a750), missing BBC 3 & 4 and a few others that I'm not too bothered about, but I really would like to get the BBC's back.

Any suggestions?

I tried reflashing with 13032009 firmware but I just loose more channels.

I am in Ireland - south, on MMDS.

Thanks.

On NTL mmds use latest fix july 2009 it will improve your remote
For missing chls. turn on power-scan mode in menu, put box in
standby for 1 hour or even overnight. Box will then manually scan.
If chls. are not found you may be missing 1 freq on TP list.
TP nos. N*L MMDS are; 250MHz; 266; 282; 298; 314; 330; 346;
362; 378
Check these nos. in TP EDIT, manually add any that are absent
RE-scan using different legacy options if necessary

Hi again
I have left on standby over 4 hrs - still missing channels - I have been told that my box is self scanning - I cannot find any method for editing tp's - only adding, this will only start from scratch and goes from (tp 1 already exists all the way to 42 - takes about 1hr each time) then re scans my channels and says no new channels found. – Exit to continue.

I have Been on this for 3 weeks now - I have-not posted because I have been reading other threads and trying to solve myself with various bits of snippets I have read via other users with same problems but in different areas and different boxes - this box seems to be reasonably trouble free in general ?
Any help would be appreciated – thanks for the help and suggestions so far

[QUOTE=guinness;244786]Hi again

In menu find TP edit, then press OK, select correct provider.
Scroll right to hi-lite first TP value, scroll down thru TP list.
When last TP is hi-lited scroll down to next line which will be empty.
Press OK to ILLUMINATE empty line & add missing TP value that you have
found on BOX 1 TP list. Wish you luck

Thanks for the info - I must say that I did not know about this place, so I have learned something new.

Unfortunately for me I have got more tp's in box 2 than I have got in box 1

In box 1 = 38 = more channels
In box 2 = 42 = less channels

I have gone through every tp in both boxes and box 2 has every tp the same as box 1 + 4 more

The plot thickens:ahhhhh:

You're getting there. Lets see if we can finish it off.
On box 1 go to each chl. that is missing on box 2
On each chl. hit OK--INFO, this will show details of channel
Note the FREQ. (tp) value on each channel , they may be on same TP.
Swop box 2 to box 1 location. You may have better signal at box position 1.
Make sure problem TP values are on TP list on box 2. Do an auto-scan.
Do several scans using different legacy options each time
Check after each scan for required chls.
If this fails go to Manual-SCAN, enter required TP value & manual scan.
Repeat this for each problem TP value
Your last resort (if necessary) is to put box 2 in box 1 location overnight
& put in stand-by.

Hi all
Sorry for the late response but I had to go and work away for a few days - I have done what you suggested (EAMO 2) with the manual search on the missing channels but it keep saying no new channels found.
I am going to change over the box positions to-night and see if your last suggestion works - keep you posted

Many thanks

you can download channel data from one box and put it on the other and see if that helps. i think you have to connect box to tv and pc and in menu there is a data download option

are you scanning through splitters or extensions as these can give you problems.

[QUOTE=guinness;247599]I am scanning via a 4 way splitter

Remove 4way splitter, use single PROV cable to BOX, scan & check chls.
When chls OK replace splitter. I f any chls. are poor or BB lethargic
Replace 4Way splitter with 2way TAP(BB) splitter & 3way signal booster
for 3 TV cable points.
With all info you offered Guinness you kept best wine for last.
Did it not occurr to you; If a signal split 4 ways just might weaken it

Hi EAMO 2
I have already tried going direct into the provider cable before i posted this add.
from the provider cable direct - signal = 69
from splitter number 1 into box 2 - signal = 65
from splitter number 2 into box 1 - signal = 64
nothing on splitter number 3 & 4

this is why i am so confused why box 1 has the most channels and the weakest signal?

cactikid
yes i got handbook and true i have never got it out the box - i will see if i can find the box first and look at the hand book lol

thanks for all the tips and trick to all that have replied and read this thread.
