I think you need to prepare key first then program with pincode to the car.... you need megamos id48 tp23.

you need to remove the cluster & edit the eeprom. This needs to be done so that you can access the immo data. then when its done you need any ID48 transponder, a tp23 will work too. go into dash can & read immo data then press make dealer key & add to dump, then update data which saves it back to the dash......car will start

If the car was produced before 06/2006, it will not need any precoding. Just try to code TP23.

No need to remove,
1.option can cluster
2.read immo data
3.put t6 id48 on tag and click on make dealer key
4.update immo data after written
5.reset cluster at the end
6. Read immo data to confirm position of new key id

7. Charge customer

8. Give thanks on dk

To be sure, just turn the ignition on with a plain blade, if the cluster showes "safe", you need a precoded key!.

definitely do not need to remove cluster. can be done completely with OBD.

start at page 84 / key learning of the manual and work down, the information
is (sort of) in there. Combine that with the programming notes when you access
the cluster and you will have everything you need to get programmed.

That is the procedure when you have working key.
When ALL KEYS lost , is most Golf 5 after 2006 you need to remove cluster and put in service mode to be able to access it.
After you have access you can add / program keys.
However there is some models after 2006 that can be still access with out working key.

Hello Yugo45,

The procedure you talk about is 2008+ nec 24c32
We are talking about micronas, en micronas24c32 secured. All keys lost.

option 1: 2006/6+ take pin from ecu, If you have bosch use obd, if you have simos use bdm programmer. And take 6 from the 7 bytes from ecu.
If you use avdi, fvdi, svdi, this wil search the 256 position of the the 7th byte.

Option 2: You could open cluster, 2006/+ and read it with xprog.

Ps, ther should be a way to go to obd, straight to cluster. The fill 24c32 up with ff ff on some lines.
Would like to know more about this procedure myself.

will xprog read in circuit?

Xprog reads this one in circuit.
You will need to read the 24c32, and the micronas itself.
There are some pins you need to lift. i remember reading that they could simply stay lifted>?

I just found this guide, it shows how to do this on bench true obd.
Only read and adjust 24c32 data.
It is all in the pdf attachement.327675

You will get permanent error with km inside from patching the micronas . Do it with xprog is the better way

looks like some confusion around year/models, if mk6 golf then is nec dash and need to remove if all keys lost, if mk5 golf, after 2006, avdi does most by obd, but if simos ecu then cant do by obd, need to read and modify eeprom in dash first.

Yugo is 100% correct. Some you can read without a working key, but most, when you try to read immo info wont read without a working key. These are the ones you need to pull the cluster out which in my experience is most of them!

& its a golf5 so wont have the NEC cluster, will have a micronsas cluster which needs the eeprom edited. once this is done you just add a key as usual

YUGO is correct.
I have done over 30 lost keys on mk5 golf and similar dash technology cars.

There will be a date sticker on the clocks themselves. upto 06/2006 should be obd no issue. After 06/2006 MICRONAS clock will 95% need to remove to read eep. I have only seen 2 in caddy vans about 2009 model that still worked OBD2.

2009 onwards is NEC and although you remove the clock still the work is significantly less.

Super vag tool claims to not need to strip micronas right down, I have seen just 1 2008 model done this way so far. It doesnt support 2005 onwards A3 though.

VVDI does work with just encrypted eep editing on SOME a3 that i have tried but not all, some still need to be stripped out.

MVP PRO/AD100 and smart dongle is laughable when trying to do these cars even with working key sometimes!

Genuine Xprog seems to be most reliable for this from my experience, along side AVDI or TM100/Tango.

Most local locksmiths to me pass me all these jobs. :)
