flashing dreambox with rs232 cable

hello people , i was wondering is ok to flash a dreambox using a usb to rs232 cable using dreamup , because ive seen a lot of guides say null modem cable only.

ya its fine i did mine with an rs232 to usb adapter to my laptop and an rs232 cable
