2003 peugeot 406 coupe remote resync

Please help how do i get remotes to resync after battery gone flat on vehicle. put new batt in remotes tried putting key in hold and press lock button for 10 secs but nothing. How can something that should be so simple be so difficult. The joys of french electrics. :giveup:
Is there anything on peugeot planet as i have that , thanks in advance for any help

1 SwitchIgn on
2 Press and hold Lock button for 10 seconds
3 Switch Ign off
4 Remove Key ..Wait 5 seconds ..Job done..( or in your case maybe not)...:fisheye:
