Hi friends,
A friend sent me a 06 Cobalt and we need to change the engine computer. I don't have Tech2 so I have to do this by eeprom.
I checked all 8 pin chips are not eeprom. The only thing close is the am29bl802cb chip. But I don't think I have a reader for this and this may require obd/bdm tools like bdm100 or mmps??
Can someone teach us and left us know if this is the right chip to change vin or copy? Original ECU cannot be found as of today.
