Hi gents,

I have a VW Polo 6r petrol 1.4 2011 (ECU 03C906024BR 4806 H09 MY2 4HV.BR dash 6R0 920 860 E )

after water damage inside the vehicle, and for some reason the car could not recognize the keys (immobilizer),
I bought Vag.com VCDS 12.12 (clone) to reprogram them but code pin was needed so I was obliged to transport the car to the dealer for reprogramming of the key (150 km in a truck far from home). but they forgot to reprogram the 2nd key.

I am looking to be independent of them, and I am looking for OBDII tool to read the pin code, I do not seek to change the mileage.

Please, i need advice, is there a tool which can read PIN code via OBDII?

Thanks

mouss

You can not adapt a key with VCDS.

Hi,

Thanks gents for your replies , but could you tell me which tool will be ok for my model polo 6r 2011, in ADVI site "Polo 2009+" is mentioned, is that mean the 2011 is covered, did someone tried it?
is there an alternative to this tool?

AVDI is overpriced product without care about customers. Look at smok xcan uhds or vvdi when you will something with similar possibilities few times cheaper. You have some other tools on market too but there are much more behind. You dont find really cheap solution for it, pin is not enough for programming and most important thing post your fault codes from ecu and immo first.

Cheapest way to adapt the 2nd key is the dealer...

Cheapest way to adapt the 2nd key is the dealer...

The dealer location is 150 km far from home, (3 hours road with traffic jam), i went there earlier and the technician there didn't adapt the second key because it was detached from black body ( but was working fine before the key recognizing problem).

for your information the cost of adapting key#1 was about 100 $

below a part of scan done using Vagcom VCDS 12.12 clone before adapting the key by dealer:

theres really not a lot when it comes to cheapest. AVDI would definitely do it……but cheaper options are there too. Theres the clones of avdi like ffvi and vvdi, also carport, both original and clone should do it.

personally, pluggin clones into later model cars worries me. But there are plenty of people that do it & have no problems. Have a good read around here & maybe you will be able to find someone that has done the same car with a device that you can buy, but most times they are too expensive to buy just for one job.

maybe you can find a locksmith in your area that can do it for you and already owe the tools…….and don't forget to thank the people that are trying to help you!

That you are able to run on vvdi abritus vag commander 8.6 software is only proof that abritus was not clever enough. VVDI main software is called Immoplus.

I was under the impression VVDI was originally a clone of avdi then had its own develpment, so I guess you would say its a product that was originally based on being a clone but has now taken on its own life......

I am not 100% sure but when i bought it there was immoplus + vag commander 8.6.

AVDI is also not inventing everything. They stole a lot from digiprog when it got cracked.
VVDI could do several VAG dashboards that AVDI wasn't supporting at all at that time frame.

VAG 8.6 isn't working anymore on VVDI with latest firmware update. Only by downgrade but I guess nobody will miss it.
