Can someone recommend a good diagnostic scanner,

Have seen the Launch one with android is this any good?

I use the launch ipad launch pad, I think the software is the same across all platforms....it works well, but has a few bugs, most scanners do........I also have carman, autoland, bosch & a few others.........between launch & autoland & get most things covered

Have seen the launch obd bluetooth dongle online
Is this all thats needed or also need software?

the device I have is like a tablet & conects to the port via its bluetooth plug whicvh they call DBScar.......dont mix it up with their new product which connects to the obd port to give you recordings while you drive....thats different
