Hello DC tuners. Today I read Golf VI 1.6 PCR2.1 ECU locked, I read KESS V2 a whether software can be modified (TUN)?. Normally when you write then glide to unlock.

Hi M8,
Firstly must open remove the ecu, open it and by boot remove eeprom protection, once done can read and write by eobd.
Writting without unlock or writting other dumps even unlocked will block the ecu.

As I understand it, this file is still locked and it can not make any changes? This requires another file that is unlocked? Place whether you could get tuned file , thanks

no.you have to remove ecu to unlock eeprom first.is not the file locked.is eeprom from inside ecu.

What tool are u using? Is not really necessary to desolder eeprom? Look in manual of your tool for pcr 2.1 unlock

mackao6, easy steps:

- Reading by OBD
- Get ECU from car to unlocking, can use Galletto, Ktag or other in batch. Or read eeprom by separate programmer
- Ulock eeprom by interface sw, or separate program to remove lock from raw dump
- write
- Can put into car, writing by OBD will be available
