Lancer Ralliart 2008 -> Upgrading Dash Cluster to 2013 Model -> Change Kms

Hi Guys,

I have a Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart 2008 and would like to upgrade the dash cluster to a 2013 Model.

I've purchased a
MiniPro USB TL866CS programmer (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/252034789945?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT)
and a
SOIC8 SOP8 Test Clip EEPROM in-circuit BIOS 93/25/24/26 (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221464798786?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT)


I installed the software and hooked it up and the software keeps telling me there is a short circuit somewhere. I reattached the test clip several times but it still didn't work.
Also the chip was a EEPROM S93c76 ADD.....something. I couldn't find that one in the software. Can I have some help identifying this chip?

So my current kms are 158413kms and I need to update the 2013 cluster with them. Can I please have some help in doing so?

i would begin with removing the eprom from the board and then reading it.

Inregards to reading it how do I properly identify the chip? It's a S93c76 ADD.....something? I couldn't find it in the list in the minipro program.
