I have a little nightmare

Car is Fiesta 2007, lost sync with Ecu.

I have Small soft from carprog to sync Ecu to dashboard...I can see clearly that is mismatched....

Software seems sync ok. Data match .Software makes work good...it seems...

Original eeprom is 2kb ( 8kb when read BDM). Carprog soft only allows the 2kb format so used this way. Therefore I upload files on both formats.

With original eeprom car doesnt start ( it doesnt sync) but diags ok.
If I made any change in eeprom 95160 (for example making sync), when write it in Ecu it does not diag ok....Checksum error and diag works very bad....

Load again ori eeprom and all diag ok, checksum error dissappear.

So seems I am not able to make any mod in eeprom.

Tried in 2kb format (direct read) and in 8 kb option ( simple BDM reads eeprom 4 times)...

No luck with anyone.

Ecu dont work with any eeprom I mod.

Tried other full flash and same problem.

Does this 95160 has checksum????

Is there any tool to correct checksum??? Must be manual correction??

i know this info will not help you now but it is nice to have FOCOM it does this job in seconds by obd2...

Tried with Focom and Ford dealer also....in other garage.

But no luck.

I could see they were mismatched for sure.

BUt my problem was checksum I think.

Therefore, thanks for info.

hmmm few weeks ago I had fiesta 2007 with synchro dead in ecu and speedo, tried all my tools focom ids... no luck after that I put new eeprom in ecu and eeprom in dash from other fiesta did new keys and synchro, car stats !!
