will the VAG K+CAN COMMANDER V1.4 do the same as the SuperVAG K+ CAN handheld unit?

the 1.4 is alot cheaper than the handheld unit.

no, but, i think you can flash edc16 as well as 15, some of the menu's have more functions and larger coverage & everthing is in english .

If you choose to buy one be careful, i would only buy the latest 4.4 software version as the earlier version all the menu's are messed up, so you select a job you want to do and end up doing something else .

it is o.k i have found it but it is not the latest , 4.4 soft and 1.5 firmware is the latest .

How can I update the firmware from v1.0 to v1.5? The 4.8sw doesn't work with my supervag k+can...

Thanks, but I think this update only the software version. I would like to update the supervag bios version, because v1.0 bios doesn't work with v4.8 softvare!

Tested booth and was quite happy very friendly user than even Super-Vag K+Can 1.4 Computer base.

Also the price was not that bad $80 for Super-Vag K+Can hand held and $75 for Vag Pin Read which is computer base software. + P&P

Tried Vag Pin Read to extract pin code on Skoda 2006 and it worked fine.

i dont know about the cable adapter story but to answer questions about the machine where pincode is concerned.it works for most newer cars vw /skoda but audi up to 2004.did an A3 2002 and an A6 2000.did some golf 5 and polo 4 and 5.struggle with some jetta 4 and golf 4.doesnt read pin from cars with immo 1,2 & 3.which consist of the older polos and golfs.Hope This helps

read channell and change value to 0 this will reset service indicator

i use dp3 to access channal i think rostech tool will work

i dont really do odometer correction but im satisfied with the performance of the machine as it does some cars that the t300 or mvp cannot..just remember some cars need certain procedure to code keys especially golf 5 and the polo 5.the only thing i struggle with is airbag resetting on the cars ..i did a odometer correction on a golf 5 already and it worked...2007 golf 5 2.0 if i remember correctly

it mainly works with all VDO dashes, problems it may create with the MM or UN4 (UKNSI)

vag k can commander 1.4 pull pin code easy on rb4 audi cluster. (for this specific cluster i use dejavue software to pull pin) be carefull of super vag can hand held tool. locksmith friend off mine corrupted dash with this tool. wanted to code key himself. end result DEFF on cluster. once you have pin code just use blank tp08 transponder chip to programm key to dash with vcds. very easy friend. :rock:

it reads only the pin code (skc) and the immo data

whitch tool can read the eeprom complete ???

Yes I did! In fact, the tool came very handy to me and I can do a lot of things with it, including change the mileage in under 5 sec, program keys, get radio codes, etc...

Yes it can do it! i've tried in an 2007 A4 and 2005 A6. Also in many Skodas, including Fabia from 2002-2005 and Octavia 2002, 2003 and VW Jetta 2002-2006 and Passat 2001-2005.
You can change the mileage very easily.

The k+can commander 1.4 can get the immo codes, but for the correct mileage is not useful.

now the super vag k+can has updated to the v4.8, and I get this , it works well for changing my car milleage, for the vag k+can commander 1.4 just a cable, it only can get the immo code. If you want to correct the milleage, I sugget you get the super vag k+can.

As far as I know, edc15 are used in those older VW's TDI and I haven't test it my self in those models but i bet you that if the manual says it can change the odometer on the models with edc15, then it will. I have done it successfully in many other VAG group cars and is super easy to do and back again in case you need to put the old mileage. See, there's a misconception about that some VAG clusters can not change mileage after 100 miles or something, and even if you can change it, you can not put the old mileage in it. This is false. With this tool SuperVag K+Can you can always change the mileage forward and backwards on almost any VAG car, besides other features like getting IMMO and ECU codes, wich some programs like VCDS can not get. Hope this was useful for you.

i have a super vag handheld and its the latest version
its 4.8 with 1.5 firmware and its works great on most
cars For example i can adjust on polo 2008 but not on
polo 2007 (i know its strange) airbags can do all off them
(so Far) can use it as a communication cable for a few
softwares like kwp2000 and afew others just have to connect the usb cable to your pc and it will recognize
trought the soft you're using.
