Vw golf v Instrument Cluster Swapping [VISTEON 95320]

Good evening people ,

I have a Vw Golf V and it needs another cluster. It has the Visten dash (1K0920864A) with 95320 and TMS mcu inside.

Is there a way to adapt a used dash to this car????

So far i have tried the following:

-Reading of ORIGINAL and USED pin codes and trying to adapt with VCDS which is impossible....!!

-Trying swapping the 95320 eprom to the used dash ,,,, but the dash's still not Immo ok , all lights are light and the indicators go crazy....

- I bought the Visteon small soft2.3 and tried writing the Original PIN , CS and KM to the eprom of the used dash ,,, but Immobilizer is still active!

So , is there another way of cloning these dashboards besides desoldering the TMS mcu and swapping it to the cluster?
I've read somewhere here that it's possible to change this dash type with VDO,,,, is that possible?

Instrument Cluster Swapping (Used Cluster)


Prerequisites:
The NEW (USED) cluster is installed in the car.
Battery voltage at least 12.0 V.
All relevant coding and adaptation values have been transferred from the OLD (ORIGINAL) cluster to the NEW (USED) cluster.
Make sure to have BOTH PIN's, from the OLD (ORIGINAL) and the NEW (USED) instrument cluster.
Make sure to have the Radio Code (for factory radios only).

[25 - Immobilizer]


[Security Access - 16]
For the following procedure, use the PIN of the NEW (USED) instrument cluster.
4-digit PIN
Enter zero followed by the 4-digit PIN. For example, if your PIN is 1234, enter 01234.
[Do it!]


The instrument cluster now shows Immobilizer Adaptation active, wait until it changes to Immobilizer active - this may take up to 2 Minutes.


[Adaptation - 10]
Enter 050 in "Channel Number".
[Read]
For the following procedure, use the PIN of the OLD (ORIGINAL) instrument cluster.
4-digit PIN
Enter zero followed by the 4-digit PIN. For example, if your PIN is 1234, enter 01234.
[Test]
[Save]
[Done, Go Back]
[Close Controller, Go Back - 06]


Switch OFF the ignition and let the car sit for ~1 minute, then switch ON the ignition again.
Verify that the NEW (USED) instrument cluster now shows the VIN/IMMO-ID of the vehicle now.


Proceed with Key Matching now.


you tried this procedure and nothing ? where exactly VCDS stops the procedure of the programming ?

First you need to see why you have Immo active.
Maybe your dash is good and have key or ECU problem.
If you clone CS, Mac and etc to new dash and still have Immo active definitely you have different problem.

I procede with VCDS as shown. It stops where i have to ENTER the CHANNEL 50 . Channel 50 is unavailable no matter what i try! I wait for more than 15 minutes,,,, nothing! I even try to connect to channel 50 with AVDI .... still nothing! Security access with USED PIN CODE to USED DASH is OK !!!!!! But channel 50 is unavailable!

Also , ORIGINAL DASH is ok with IMMO ! Problem is outter temperature and fuel gauge.... When i plugged used one fuel gauge and outter temp is ok ,,,,, but bloody immo is SAFE.

Truth is i have tried in the past many things with this kind of dashboard without success,,,, so i thought i might bring it up to exprerts to get some opinions......

I cloned CS and Pin Code yes!!! But it won't start up again........... and i think this kind of dash have no MAC,,? (Original dash works fine with immo,,, except the fuel n temp)! Used one have only two faults
1) Data not same as ECu (data learning)
2) Key not matched

1) yes he has Mac. but the mac it can done after adapt by obd2.
2) the new used dash dump show (pin = 52975) (CS = DE 6A FF CF BC D5 FF) (MAC = B2 17 4F 49)
3) how you get from original dash the pin + cs by obd2? or from engine ecu? cause maybe your original dash dump is look little bad.
4) if you have avdi and function go to immo parts adaptation & there write pin + CS + vin of original dash or from original engine ecu,cause your system not supported Chanel 50 adaptation,and i think the power class was same,& if require go to the Can instrument and there you can change it manual. if all done here you must adapt new transponder or in key learning system or go to direct to Can instrument and make dealer key & add it.if any new let us know...

Ok, After you do this you need to learn key to cluster, since you can not transfer key ID.When you learn key , if you still have Immo flashing , then adopt cluster to transfer MAC via Ch 50, after cloning CS and learn key CH 50 should be available after log in with in 10 min.

Or if you have License with AVDI -"Instrument can" you can do all via OBD.

Good morning people

I really really appreciate all the info and help ,,, and i finally found a solution,,,, it was a silly mistake that i didn't notice......So here's what happened: (yes i have full avdi and i did almost everything via OBDII),,

Dashboard of client was number 1K0920864A........ and used dashboard i got from scrapeyard was 1K0920864A too! BUT I didn't notice that the client's dash was VDO 1K0920864A and the one from scrape was VISTEON 1K0920864A !!! How is this even possible? Same numbers with different brand?
So i thought that it's another visteon "difficult" job......... So ,,, i went to the scrape yard again,,,,, got a 1K0920864A VDO dash,,,,, transfered Immo Data + Conf Data with AVDI via OBDII and there you go!!! It worked!


Truth is that i bought full avdi some years ago and the Immo V parts Adaption (AN053) is not active. And i will invest on that if it's the right choice to write a VISTEON dash.
But i was wondering,,, the Visteon dash has eprom + TMS mcu right? Can avdi change data in TMS mcu? Anyway, i will for sure print your info and it will be the first thing to try on my next job

You can change Visteon to Visteon and VDO to VDO only.
VDO will adapt via channels,while Visteon will not.
Visteon is Immo4C while VDO is Immo4A.
Visteon clones by TMS470 + 95xxx eeprom.
You can read TMS470 by JTAG.

Hi, I am in the same situation. I have swapped eeprom and tms980 of the VIsteon with another spare Visteon but gives me error on dash. I have another spare with the same codes but it is a VDO. Can I swap it? Thank you.

For VDO you need to read/write immo data by OBD using proper tool.
For Visteon just post both orig+donor eeprom and I can swap immo data for you.
