Fiat 500 L ECU

I have a Bosch ECU for Fiat 500 L. Addition the Infineon Tricore, in this ECU is a BOSCH 40048 IC driver that is responsible for injection system. I have a problem with that. So I want to replace that chip with another new with the same number. So have i need do programm this IC or it's not need to programm this IC.
