Writing 2J74Y flash

Hi guys!

Which tool can write flash of Motorola 2J74Y? I need to copy data from Espace III UCH unit.

I have UPA, SMOK, XPROG-M ... but non of them seem to support wiring flash? I know ETL does it, but I don't have one.

Does anyone know if 2J74Y in Renault Espace III (make year 2000) UCH is secured or not?

No exception even the blank ones from factory, every HC08's are secured (I personally call 'access password') for flash and some applied to eeprom too.

All 908 or all 2j74y you mean ? Cause there is a lot of em that UPA reads/writes easily and we all know that upa does not do secured mcus

ALL 2J74Y are secured, even blank new ones.

I think they are your best way.

I have R270, is good to make in circuit Mcu ( Ezs, dashboards...etc...) mileage and reset purposes. Not really programming universal...

But programming a 2j74y itself it is not good....

Yes all 908's and 08's. AZ60, AS60 etc are only flash, AZ32 etc both flash and eeprom. 2J74Y you didn't notice that probably because only eep was selected. Try (UPA), and select All Memory then uncheck security bytes or change it and read again, those display AD AD AD are flash that not read.

It can only read flash, but not program ...

Possibly your used chip has flash locked. Search the forum by the word 'EENVR'
