Put back the original chip because that is programmed. The new chip is empty and you do not have the tools for programming. The fault maybe is the corrupted flash chip AM29LV160. To read/write to this flash you still need the programming tools. I repair between 8 to 10 amplifiers like this every month. I have NEVER replaced the OS8805 chip.

The problem is not the XS8805. The fault is the flash IC that has lost it's memory. You do not have the factory tools and software to fix the problem.

I do not have the OS 8805 because they never give problems. But if you are positive this is the fault you can buy the IC from far east component distributors for about USD 10.00

As you know there are many problems with these H/K Logic 7 AMPS.
I have sent my damaged AMP for a repair service, they gave their best and took a good care of mechanical service of the boards.
It was years ago and then he already warned be that they are not capable to re-flash/cahnge out that OASIS chip.
There are quite a few companies around in Europa, but when I ask from them, if they can handle OASIS, then they do not answer at all or will say no to me.
As I understand, it will be possible from now?
Who can offer this service for me? If this re-flashing is possible, I would like to send my amp for this service.
