Had a SID208 from 2014 transit custom today on bench for hours.

would connect read and stop and 7%

Tried various voltages, all above 13.8v to 14.4v

Also tried, TRASDATA sw and same happened at 7% exactly.

Anyone else had this?

I read (boot mode) this ECU by X17 - no prolem.
Write - by OBD.

Your Clone is Low Quality-Euro clone read and write no problem.

I can confirm what robert54 said, done defender 2013 with 2.2 transit engine sid208 using ktag 2.11 and write by obd using kess 2.08 both pcb not reworked just changed nxp chip.

M8,
Maybe not a problem about volts, but amps!!
Only trust on genuine tools to work with those ecus .

Regards.

I had a supply that could support 12 amps attached. I watched the amps getting drawn on the read and it never passed over 1. Used an orig Ktag was fine. I think the oscillator for MCU clock speed while talking to tricore is not giving a stable signal. Maybe a sector at 7% requires a high duty cycle from the tool

Conect to a car battery. I have same problem with a 807 evolution and solve with a 70ah battery

your problem is crystal not murata
for fix or change crystal with murata version or add capacitors 22pf
crystal murata does not need capacitors

Your problem is that you need 10amp and 14v and will read it perfrct

Maybe it has solved for people before, I tried many many voltages from 13.8 all the way up to 14.4, with a min of 12 amps, I also tried migrating the tool to tradata SW and the same fault stops at 7%.

You have quartz or resonator? Pinotec gave you good clue. Believe him.

What mhz does the murata oscillator need to be

Thanks

How many amps does your power supply give out ?

CustomCars

Propably supply power. Ecu will be don't readed correctly even at 15V and 2Amps.
13,5V is ok, but needed provide lot Amps, can use car battery for power supply if lab tools are not from top.

Possible, some time it cause problem. That's why always needed have both.
Reworked have best available quality guarante max stability, but some parameters are different, and mcu makes problem.

What you talking about ? Really incomprehensible posts.
Any error in SW comes from SW, internal error make bad installed software.

i think problem is some missing dll from ms redistributable for checksum caluclation under win7?
