View Full Version : BMW k-line for GT1 and INPA - problem

Hi guys,
I some trouble around here. I buy one new interface called
"K-Line Interface for GT1 and INPA" from China.
It suppose to work with INPA and GT1 software. Interface is on USB (STD:OBD).
I installed everything but i have one error every time on INPA.
Error is:

IFH-0018: INITIALIZATION ERROR.
I run OBD setup.exe, in ediabas.ini interface is STD:OBD, OBD.ini is in windows and bin directory and in configure properly.
This is my OBD.ini:


[OBD]
Port = Com25
Hardware = STD:OBD
RETRY = OFF
UBATT = ON
MODE = NORMAL
TRACELEVEL = 0

WTF i do wrong?
I have 2 version of INPA (63Mb setup and 75 Mb rar file).
No version work. On my old ADS interface everithing works ok, but now.....

What interface you use on USB? STD:OBD interface is normaly serial. Either you use interface KKL with FTDI inside or you use usb-serial adaptor cable - FTDI and Prolific are supported.
Did you install driver for FTDI or Prolific ? Did you configure adapter on COM25,as your setup shows ?
Your ediabas.ini file is corectly configured ? Did you ad the path in Enviroment variables ?
obd.ini file is only used for Ubatt and ignition sensing,or in case you want to use other com port. ediabas.ini will work default on com1 -if you have it free.
0018 is communication with interface.
The 63mb kit does not configure everything for you -don't know about that 75 mb kit.
Use the BMW standard tools wich I pointed you in the other thread.It will configure everything,but then you need to complete installation with all the nedeed data .

mate try to set COM1 and 1 or 2 ms of latency
