Hi, I have question about Fiat 500 2012 and up models.
I have access to Factory tool, but I heard for those new Fiat 500 - 2012 and up , when car is locked and all key lost you can not program key with Factory level tool.
Somehow BCM gets locked. Even if you unlock car with new key there is no communication with BCM.

Anyone know how to get to programming access?

Thanks in advance.

I think even Chrysler does not know the answer to this question. I have inquired with many dealers. Some say "yes, they all require new BCM". Others say "no, none require new BCM"

I also heard that BCM needs to be replace in this situation,
But if they said it does not need to replace BCM, Then how to get to programming access?
With all key lost no access to BCM with Factory tool, it does not talk to it.

What type of 500?
What brand of bcm?
Production date bcm?
What tool?
Did you create or order dealer key?
Where did you get pin?
Did the remote work?

I have read that when unlocking this car and the alarm goes of you must use a programmed key to turn it off or it locks the immo and the BCM needs to be replaced. We don't unlock these anymore. :frown:

Correct , this is exact situation .

It is Fiat 500 , little one.
It is key order direct form dealer by VIN.
Tool using is Factory tool with license .
Remote on this car will learn automatically when you program key.

Read post above , when you lock this car with remote and loose all key, with new key you will unlock car manically , turn ignition On , but no communication with BCM, so key can not be programmed.
One way to fix this is if you have any original key and unlock car with remote ,
other way is to replace BCM.

That why I asked in first post Does anyone know any other solution ????

So the gateway is inside the bcm!?
Is there acces possible if you tap in between ECU and bcm, instead true Obd.

He worked many of these cars.
You communicate with the BCM, with diagnosis tool ???
key data and car, are epp + nec in BCM

Can these new BCM without 8 leg chip be downgraded and the old BCM be installed - very similar setup. And then ECU matched to BCM etc... To allow all keys lost job to be done?

I'm turning down more of these. Need a solution.

I had chance to look one of those and yes no more serial eeprom 93c86,
It has only NEC MCU 70F3632.

If anyone know any solution PLEASE share it.

Thanks

Friend in the photo location EPROM!

If EPROM not be there, you need to install BCM new or used and make new transponder,
delete immo ECU

Smok and IO Terminal read write eprom !! read Nec no write 70F3.....!!!

If it can read part of the NEC that has the key data then that would be good enough... no need to write back to it... you could simply use a cloning chip write the precode and change the serial to match an existing key.

If you have all keys lost on the post 2012 500s even with a dealer key. As already said once the alarm is activated the body computer is locked and you can't program the key. Simple solution is to not trigger the alarm in the first place. To open the car without triggering the alarm turn the lock to open and hold it there for 10 seconds before releasing. Then you can open the door without setting off the alarm.

Thank you so much, this is the solution I was looking.

If alarm was not set to car , Factory tool car program key.
But if alarm was trigger , then BCM has to be chnage. There is no tool on market it can reset BCM for now if alarm was trigger.

You confirm Alarm activated, still will read BCM? And also write? This is tested?
