I have a sat blackbox which I am testing and I have flashed the PLi image on it, I assumed from the notes that cccam 2.1.1 is added but it is not available to select in the softcam options, I think I may have to install via addons but cannot get round through the menus as easily as say dk image, anyone point to the right direction of what to do? Or do I have to ftp the cccam file to install it? Thanks in advance.

I think you need to do this, blue button, software management, downloads, softcams, and if you are connected to the net you should be able to download 2.1.2

when I press blue button, software management, I have 'Download latest menu' no downloads option.
I am also not connected to the internet, I thought it would be with the image. Guess I will have to connect to the internet first and update to the latest menu and take it from there, will let you know how I get on, thanks

the dreambox should be connected to the internet 24/7..
you may as well get rid of your box and get a technomate if you dont keep it hooked up..

Dreamboxes are mini pc's. You wouldnt have a pc not connected to the network. Plus with a network connection your in pole position to watch alot of channels.

I understand how the dreambox should be connected to the net 24/7 but I am just starting to get to grips with sat.
In the end I flashed the nabilosat image and manually installed cccam 2.1.1 for nabilosat via ftp. On to the next step (connecting to net). Thanks everyone.
