Did one last week was cas3+ (looks the same). But mine was late 2013.
CAS same location, but i think you have a FEM or cas4 fitted.
I would make Some testing with diagtool to see Whats in there.

Btw i hate this Car, removing cas is pain in the ass.

I have done one I think was 2014 and that one had cas3+ inside. Try it buy obd no joy, had to take dashboard out. 5hours with work

cas3 same place with R56 and dash with 35080 as most bmw

Elprosys dp3 didn't do it by obd. Think avdi can do it
