I am trying to install a used MS 42 into a BMW, I can get the ful dump from PA Soft,

How do I tell change the dump and tell PAsoft to instal the old dump on the new (USED) ECU.
I saw the option in PA Soft but I do not see where to select another file to upload. There is some options in REPROGRAMMING, looking for advice, thanks

357620Ok, so I was helping my friend do this.

I used jmgarage to Read the full dump.

The fun part is, he gave me his ECU (THE ORIGINAL ONE) and also a USED (Good one).


My car is identical to his, so we grabbed both of his DME and went to my place. We wanted to test the used one on MY car first. I read the full dump from my vehicle...and then took the USED good one, and wrote to it. Vehicle started.

The problem? He mixed up the DME's or I misunderstood and I wrote to his ORIGINAL one.

So what do we do now?

I have the full dump from MY Vehicle, is there anyway we can do something with my file...virgin or WRITE HIS vin to it?

Update. Got it started with the virgin file.

Can anyone compare them and tell me if the maps are different? Seems as though it has more power, maybe I'm crazy
