Tomtom Speed Cameras Updated regularly (Weekly when possible)

UPDATED 6th Nov 2015

OK I AM BACK WITH SPEED CAMERAS AGAIN
I HAVE RENEWED SUBSCRIPTION AND AM ABLE TO POST THEM HERE AGAIN
WILL UPDATE AS REGULARLY AS POSSIBLE.
THESE CONTAIN ALL THE NORMAL AND PREMIUM CAMERAS FOR ALL COUNTRIES.
JUST UNZIP AND USE THE ONES YOU WANT

Download: Tomtom Speed Cameras

https://www.mediafire.com/?q0mjq0uz6wjjkjk

use easytools to generate a dct file to make the maps and speedcameras work. You only have to do it once.

If anyone else having a problem when just copying the 2 files for their country speedcams into the map folder and them not working.if so check that you are not replacing standard with premium cameras or vice versa.this is because they also use a dct file in the map folder.if thats the case you can use tomtom easytools to generate a new dct file, then copy that into your map folder too and it will work.(You only have to create the dct file once, after that to update the speedcameras on your tomtom ,you just replace the ov and ver files with the new ones everytime an updated one is posted here.)

Heres my permanent file link for easytools and instructions how to use.You can just use this to generate a new dct file for your speedcameras

Download:Easytools

Easytools (http://hotfile.com/dl/99035600/0ae6693/Easyusetools_for_Keygen_Mapcheck_Metacheck_ttsyste mpatcher.rar.html)

Alternative tool for Activation

Here is Fast Activate Premium which is an alternative and some people believe (as I do) its much easier and simple to use to patch the Navcore and activate maps Cameras etc. Also updates the meta Just copy it into root of tomtom unit and run it.

Download:Fast Activate

Latest-FastActivate (http://www.mediafire.com/download/8082bssbvxcuoq4/Latest-FastActivate.rar)

Unfortunately I am not allowed by my other site to post the link for the latest maps, sorry

Am glad to be back and able to contribute again
Enjoy

Many thanks for the update, but how to you 'open' the files so they are visible on the map?

I have put them into the map folder, but nothing shows.

Apologies for being a dipstick!

Yes you can, or even copy/replace will do the trick, but will leave out of date cameras on the map - which may not be a bad thing sometimes.

Hi Cleggy,

Thanks for the advice mate. Did exactly as stated, got the DCT entered all into map folder , and the map then did not work, showed up as no map installed.

Good job I made a back up! Bit of a pain really...

Any further hints?

only thing i can suggest is to look at the info on following link

Thanks very much for that but I'm still having problems (and starting to feel too much like a newbie, I have to admit!).

The meta file you have provided is called "meta.txt". What am I supposed to do with it? I've tried just inserting it like the easytools instructions say, I've tried renaming to "meta.meta" and I've also tried renaming to "UK_and_IE_plus_major_roads_of_WE.meta" (which is the name of my map.

If you could give any help I would greatly appreciate it!! Thanks in advance,
Ash

Hello

I have placed the safety camera files onto my tomtom but they do not seem to work. I assume I need a new dct file for the cameras but i dont know how to generate one. I tried the keygen but this just gives errors that there is no keyfile in my map. Does anyone know how I can get my tomtom to use the new camera files.

Thanks

Thanks - you've provided a lot of help. But I'm still stuck! When I try to run the keygen, I get an error 'keygen says map not supported' - and 'tt8_keygen.exe is not recognised as an internal or external command, program or batch file'. That file is not present - only tt7_keygen.exe
Any suggestions?

They go in the totom map folder and you just enable the totom speed cameras.
They ore not pocket gprs ones

Hi, firstly thank you for posting the camera files. I have plenty of space on my TomTom Go 710 and copied all of the files over as I work all over Europe, is this an issue in any way i.e. will any files conflict each other?

I haven't yet been out in the car to check if it's working at the nearest camera but they are showing up in my POI allerts, does this mean they are installed ok?

Also the problem I had was that the map I downloaded and installed had no camersa on it at all so are these files updates only or is this every camera installed up til now?

Sorry for the long winded post.

Regards,

Paul.

These are the full ones.
All you gotta do is unzip the folder then choose which country ones you want ie for uk just copy the uk ov file and the uk ver file into your tomtom map folder.Thats it. the images are part of the ov file.

Hi,

Thanks for all your work with this, i for one really appreciate it!

I do however have an issue. I have followed all the instrcutions, and everything seems to have worked. My new maps do, but how can I actually check that the speed camera database has updated successfully on my TomTom. Is there a date/version no. or something like that on the device that I can check?

You can check the version by looking at the ver file
it should be higher than the previous ver file

OK I'm being dense, I've got TomTom Navigator 6 for a Palm.

On the SD cards I see the .ov2 and ov2.ver and .bmp files for with names like:

Safety_Cam_UK_30_TomTom.ov2, Ov2.ver and .bmp

Repeat for 40, 50, 60 and 70 mph.

all names that I currently have.

The file I just downloaded has no .bmp files and also has e.g.

Safety_Cam_UK_TomTom.ov2 and Ov2.ver

Safety_Cam_UK_Premium.ov2 and Ov2.ver

Should I delete all the .ov2 and Ov2.ver files on the SD card and just copy all the files from the download into the map directory, or do I need to do things differently?

There is no .dct file as far as I can tell.

Thanks
Dave

cleggy
18th June, 2010, 04:19 PM
delete speed cams on sd card.
Then choose uk speed cams or uk speed cams premium.copy them to sd card and put them in map folder.so in map folder you have a ov and a ver file.then use easytools or the other in my post (i think is easiest).
once u have used the tool you should also have a speedcam file called dct.job done.and you dont need to do anymore in future other than download the lastest cams then copy them onto sd card it will just replace the ones already there.no need to create a dct file again

as a note the uk cams are just all fixed cameras, the uk premium cameras also contain the mobile cameras

perdrix
18th June, 2010, 05:08 PM
That doesn't answer my question (implicit) about the .bmp files - why aren't there any to go with these?

So do you suggest to just install the Premium files?

What's with this 'ere dct file - there isn't anything like that on the SD card now - remember this is TomTom 6.

cleggy
19th June, 2010, 12:26 PM
The bmp files are contained in the ov2 files.remember these are the tomtom supplied speed cams and are not like ordinary poi files.
therefore there are only 2 files ie ov2 file which contains all the data and bmp files then the ver file which tells you the version.
The dct file is needed to authorize the tomtom cameras(basically like a serial number to make a program genuine)
This is created with either the easytools or the easy activator from my first post.

VERY IMPORTANT Make sure you save a full backup of your tomtom first so you can always revert if you do anything wrong

Question.... is there a "how to" FAQ showing step by step instructions on how to put the new maps/cameras/etc onto a TomTom 730?

I mean.... from step one.. plug TomTom into computer.... step two.. turn on TomTom... etc! :)

I have never tried this, and if there was a FAQ on it, it would help greatly.

Thanks!

check in your tomtom map folder that you have 3 files for your safety cameras
ov
ver
dct

if they are there then they are on your tomtom ok
then checkthe following

see if the cameras are enabled on your tomtom

try this
go to the menu on your tomtom then to tomtom safety cameras
and make sure alerts are enabled and check the warning preferences are all set to your requirements

that should help you

I went to Menu, then Tomtom Services, Then TomTom Safety Cameras and that did the trick.

Thank you.

ok glad you are ok now

just to let you know, everytime you want to update the cameras just download the latest file from my post and then unzip it and choose the ones you want ie uk

Then just copy the ov and ver files (say uk .ov and uk.ver) and paste them into your map folder on the tomtom.you leave the dct file as it is.You dont have to create a new dct file everytime.

then you have the lastest cameras and your warnings etc are still ok

i've tried poiedit and gpsbabel with no success on these new ov2 files, any ideas?

as i haven't got a tomtom unit i can't unlock the files which may be why you can convert in poiedit and i can't. i tried the tools on your first page but they ask for tomtom serial no's etc.
