RAV4 ECU Repair any ideas?

Hi Guys i know that there is a world wide problem with toyota rav4 ecm's 2001-2003 where it is causing transmission failure. does anyone know anything about this problem and what repairs are needed for the ecu? there is someone in the us offering a repair service for them on ebay but no such service in Australia (or at least that i know of)

Try this company...they are in the U.K. and did a great job of testing my Renault Espace 2.2dCi ECU...testing comes out at approx ?45 + p&p + VAT.....Have a Look! Automotive ECU suppliers (http://ecutesting.com/index.html)

It is done in one or two days and has a warranty of 1 year.

On ebay, there are many offering this service, but only one (that is from New York) is good. Out of ebay, the one listed above is very good.

I have a rav4 with this fault what is it a dump issue or the components need to be re-soldered?
