Hello, what difference between plastic and metalic box? Does both devices work simillar?

Same function as far as i know, maybe different china Manufacturer, they all pretty much do the same Protocols,
Limited :> but ok tool certain vehicles, i like to use for Saab and Opel, EDC16
Good VW coverage, BUT no Ford on this tool

And what about EDC15? (especially vw) R/W - ok?

yes good for edc15 vw, never a issue with VW,
also can recover edc15 if you search you can see how to do it, on table, with mpps
