BMW 3 series e46 DME/ECU change

Hi,
I am in bit of a bother, hope someone can help me. I have a DME 1 430 940 (bosch no: 0261 204 420) that got fried (stupid me). Can someone PLEASE help me to replace this ECU with another unit which I am planning to order from a wrecker.
1st of all I should order the DME/ECU by the DME number right or bosch no?
then any idea on virgining the DME/ECU and matching the DME/ECU to the org EWS3?

Read OLD ECU, new one and EWS ans post all dumps here. Order same DME number ECU. if cant read old post only dump from EWS and new. What tools you have for BMW?

Thanks Gavra! You are my savier....I'll post them on monday.... someone told me to swap flash from old to new and will it work?
PS i don't have specialized scan tool for bmw just generic scan tool...

Then swap flash and hope the best. Personally don't like to depend on 1 tool only.......if something go (and usually does) wrong u r in very bad position.

Will post the dumps and get it done properly... better do it properly than be sorry later...

Read out ALL dumps, then try it with swap only, but make sure you have SAVED old dumps........rest is easy

Swap did not work..."pulling my hair out" and an error code '140 DME-ews interface'. I saved all the dumps in the attachment. Can you please help me to get this going again?

Unfortunately did not go well... but thanks for help! I think it might have wiring issue. I'm gonna have to put an emulator to get it going... if it not too much trouble can you read me the ISN for both dumps?
