I have a 2004 model S320 Cdi and the mileage display is showing ------ , everything else including trip, gauges and illumination work perfect , has anybody else ever had this problem before ???

I guess the car came like this to you? Someone replaced the instrument cluster. Use the Star to relearn it to the Drive Authorization. But before you do that lower the km value to 0 or any value below 250 km or else the relearn process will abort.
