Hello friends I have a problem I can't resolve I have one dash motometer SW20 bmw 318tds year 95 I need program the Kms, I need one dump correct for 185000kms, but the problem is I don't find the chip, i see one chip 93s56 but in my machine (digimasterIII) don't have protocol with chip "S" only have chip "C" example 93C56, and 93S56 is not possible program in my machine, I don't have solution, but I have other problem is the same only is different the years and versions motometer, the first is SW20 and the other motometer is SW23 is one 318tds year 97 the same problem, I program one dip but I think have two points one is dip and the other I can't find something, and in the car installation I see the sms "code1" can help me for I learn this thank you for your attention....if is possible show me a pictures thank you have I nice day people...

These instrument clusters have two memories: inside (small = soic 93S56 or 93S46) and outside (code plug with 93c46 in it and which could be blue or black color etc).
As far as I remember on Sw23 and sw24 clusters to get access to the inside eeprom you have to drill or break plastic rivets.
Even in the diga consult you only had 93C56 in the menu but you could still read the S versions.
I thought Digimaster III had instructions with pictures...

SW20 can be done using the round connector (aka modic connector) under the bonnet or through the cluster plug.
