Yamaha R6 km change

Hello all,
I need to change the dash on a Yamaha R6 2005, but the used one has too much miles on it, wondering if someone could help me solve it. The used one has 31888 km, I need this to be 15995km. I can change the KM value, bu It get errors. Probably I need also to chnge the value in miles. Looking for help.
The IC L56R (93c56x16) and is under the LCD panel, and Is a pain in the ass to get access, so it would be very nice if its done without mistakes. :)
