Hi together,:)

for sure a stuiped question for you,but i dont know how to get this tool working:(

i try to read a eeprom(desolder) 24C32,i put my pomona test clip into the x prog (dip 8)see pictures, but it dont work.

i choose the right eeprom in x prog, but after i try to to read/write i got this message:

Device insertion error bad contact at pins 5,6,8 etc.

were are this pins?is it necassary to laying cabels +12/ground etc?
is there maybe a manual for beginner??

i work in the past with a chinese Mini Pro programmer, and with this is it not a problem to read in circuit a eeprom, not all but it works with some eeproms.

i hope you can help me a litte to understand my mistake?368688368689368690368691368692

I read 95160 eeprom peugeot BSI yesterday and initially got device insertion error at pins 2, 3, 5, 7, 8. so I use a small knife to scrape on the pins to remove resin on the eeprom and I was able to read the chip. by the way make sure pin 1 is matched to pin 1.

Bad clip. If you have adapter, solder eeprom on it and you will see that everything will be ok.
