Hi guys,

I've got here an old Golf 4 cluster 1J0_919_860D.
The eeprom is a 24C02 and the dump is attached (rename to bin).

Is it possible to (re)set mileage using eeprom only?
Is it also possible to disable immo in this cluster? (The ecu is already immo off, but now there is a car key icon active.)

Thanks for any info,
H2Deetoo

Mileage yes, immo - remove led.
Anyway, your dump doesn't seems right.

Hmm, I had my doubts as well by the looks of it but never had problems reading 24Cxx eeproms with this programmer in-circuit (I stopped mcu from running by shorting xtal).
Anyway, I'll desolder the 24C02 and read it with external programmer.

Thank you,

Try to load in vageeprommer. This is another dump to compare:

Seems my first read was 1 byte shifted, see attached eeprom dump now.
I tried VAGEEeprom and it identifies the eeprom correct. It even has a button to set mileage, but I get an error about missing hardware.
Is there some way to modify only eeprom without actual hardware?

Or can anyone set mileage to 0 km?

Mileage is sorted.

Now the most important question is how to disable immo in this cluster?
At the moment the car key icon keeps flashing :-/
If all fails I will remove the led but I prefer not to ;-)

Mileage is pretty straight forward. For immo, i don't have any dash to play.

I guess it's the end for that led ;)
