I doubt I'll be able to provide correct coding for it.
I think you might have better success visiting dealer and asking them to code it using VW factory tool.

as you told me this is my lucky day and everything worked just fine like a charm all thanks to you.
one remark regarding the ABS long coding helper program 2.0 and 2.1, in my case they returned a wrong coding for the bytes 6; 14;16;17 and 18. so either i misused them or there is something to correct on.
i tested everything and everything works fine i only have to recheck the diameter of the front rotor
I am only left with one small doubt. is the Brake pad wear indicators of front and rear side are related to the coding. i used to have a warning for the rear brake pads that are pretty well worn. but now it spearheaded.

Hello,

Unfortunately I don't know who is the author of the "ABS long coding helper program 2.1". It's buggy and quite often it's waaay off the reality. Would like to work with the author together to improve it...

Brake pad wear indicator is NOT associated with ABS coding at all. If you take wiring diagrams, you'll realise that the two wires going to the pad sensor are connected directly to instruments cluster. In instruments cluster coding you can either enable or disable the warning. Personally I find it annoying (and too far off the reality) so I either disable it or just short the wires.

KESSY is not related to ABS coding.
As for TPMS, you will probably need to disable ABS-based TPMS, amend the CAN gateway module coding and probably a few more bits.

BTW, the real sensor-based TPMS sometimes sucks, so be aware of what you are retrofitting :)

Personally I have never had a deal with the real TPMS sensors apart the fact that I've disabled that functionality for several people and enabled ABS-based TPMS. So in this case I won't be giving any advice.

My suggestion is to surf the forums and seek for information. People have done various retrofits, they usually share the part numbers, feedback on one or another retrofit and often offer a step by step guide.

The ECU has been removed because it did not work, after removing it and cleaning it was put back again and ABS somehow reseted. Yes it is right hand drive I live in UK :)

The only thing I have is VIN xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
There is no vin on the dashboard, the abs, nor the ECU.
The dashboard was changed, the car model is 2009.
The dashboard he now has is 2012.

Unfortunately I doubt it will be possible to code the module without VIN present.
Try coding the correct VIN into Instruments cluster. I believe we had such cases and someone from the forums was able to assist.

Also, it's your lucky day, so I activated the 2-stage ESP-off functionality. Never done that for Caddy so let's try.

Yes it has stop start. I tested another cluster in car and thought I had long coding on file but lost it when original cluster back in.

Hi, I've got a 2007 B6 VW Passat (LHD) that I've done an engine swap on ... and I need ABS coding. I've got about 1500 miles on the car since the swap, but can't get the ABS/ESP coded properly. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

In place of the original 2.0t FSI engine, I've installed a 2010 VW 2.5L 5-Cyl. engine. The VIN number in the following VCDS scan is from the ECU used (from a 2008 Golf 2.5L). The VIN number for the car itself, a 2007 VW Passat is: WVWLK73C97E009332.

Because I couldn't code the original ABS Control Module to the 2008 Golf ECU ... I installed a Jetta ABS Control Module: MK60 - 1K0 907 379 AC.

Here's the latest VCDS scan (I've also attached an image of the Passat PR Label in the trunk) ... If you need any other info, let me know ...

Hi, I've got a 2007 B6 VW Passat (LHD) that I've done an engine swap on ... and I need ABS coding. I've got about 1500 miles on the car since the swap, but can't get the ABS/ESP coded properly. ANY help would be greatly appreciated!

In place of the original 2.0t FSI engine, I've installed a 2010 VW 2.5L 5-Cyl. engine. The VIN number in the following VCDS scan is from the ECU used (from a 2008 Golf 2.5L). The VIN number for the car itself, a 2007 VW Passat is: WVWLK73C97E009332.

Because I couldn't code the original ABS Control Module to the 2008 Golf ECU ... I installed a Jetta ABS Control Module: MK60 - 1K0 907 379 AC.

Here's the latest VCDS scan (I've also attached an image of the Passat PR Label in the trunk) ... If you need any other info, let me know ...

I can see you have VCDS.
Can you go to Instruments and check the VIN which is coded there? It should be somewhere in (Advanced) Measuring Blocks.
Post that VIN here and I will try to prepare the coding.

Also, to me it seems that you installed an incompatible module into your car...
1) What was the original module's part numer?
2) Are you able to borrow/buy/install a slightly different module, like one of these 1K0 907 379 AT, 1K0 907 379 BE, 1K0 907 379 BJ, 1K0 907 379 BL

Yes, I could probably swap the ABS Control Module out with one of those you've listed (AT, BE, BJ, BL) ... would I have to switch out the entire ABS unit, or could I just switch out the ABS Control Module itself? Also, what would be the advantages of those units as opposed to what I have installed?

By the way, I had the immobilized disabled by a company in Massachusetts, so the car would run (don't know if that makes any difference). I also have the TPMS disabled, Address 65 (no pressure sensors in my wheels) ... and would like to use the TPMS in the ABS Control Module if possible.

I think you need this module:
3C0 614 109 AF.
Unfortunately, I don't have any coding information for that module, so not even sure if it's possible to code that module with 2.5 engine... As Passats only had 2.0 and 3.6 engines installed.
Alternatively, it's possible to try to install a module from B7 Passat (I think we can code it). However, I'm not sure if the wiring harness is identical. If not, then money will be wasted. That's why I can't recommend that. In this case, it's either hit or miss


Passat is a bit different from Golf/Jetta/etc.
It uses completely different modules. I believe the wiring harness is different too.

hid3, yes that was the problem before ... I had to rewire the Golf ABS plug to adapt it to the Passat wiring (no easy job!). And would probably have to rewire it again ... if I had to change out ABS Module again.

Here in the US, starting in 2012, the Passat WAS offered with the 2.5L engine (until 2014 I believe) ... but the 2012 VW Passat 2.5L ECU is completely different than my 2008 Golf 2.5L ECU (different plug type and pinouts). To install the Golf ECU, I had to rewire the Golf ECU Engine Plug to adapt it to the Passat chassis wiring (about 40 wires!).

I really would like to get the ABS working on this car ... everything else seems to work.

hid3, the original Passat ABS Module was Part No SW: 3C0 614 095 S ... Component: ESP 440 C2 H015 0004.

I tried over 500 codes with no success! And yes, I had to rewire the plug to install the Jetta ABS Module MK60 1K0 907 379 AC. The Passat and Jetta ABS plugs were completely different!

I went through both the Jetta ABS wiring diagrams and the Passat B6 ABS wiring diagrams and marked down all of the ABS connections, pin locations, and wire colors respectively for both ABS plugs. Then I checked those pin numbers / wire colors with the actual Jetta / Passat ABS plugs (they were correct). Then I matched them up in Excel to know which wires to solder together with what. There were about 23 wires I believe.

It was a daunting task!

Okay, so I assume you do have access to wiring diagrams, you have enough brain to understand what you are actually doing and willingness to do some experiments.

Unfortunately, I don't have _any_ coding information for Passat modules.

I can offer two options.

1) Try to go to the dealership and ask to code the ABS using factory tool. It's possible that the factory tool will identify the engine installed and code it properly. Chance of success is 15-20% I think
2) Try to upgrade the existing Jetta module to MK60EC1 one. The part number I'd offer is 1K0 907 379 BJ (Golf's module) or 1K0 907 379 BH (Passat's module, from B7 I think, I have prepared a working coding for one member from Ukraine here on DK, also US-spec B7 Passat). You probably WILL have to do some more rewiring, maybe not as much as doing conversion from Passat to Jetta. It would be very great if you could check if there's enough slack on the wiring harness to be able to connect the replacement module only, without having to mess with hydraulic plumbing, bleeding the brakes and actually installing it.
I assume you would be looking for replacement module at local salvage yards or eBay. I'd chose the seller which would offer a possibility to return the module and refund if we don't manage to code it..
Chance of success in this scenario is 55-60% I'd say.

This is happening: Many times when the car starts up it will start a couple of seconds and it will turn off with a message the no key on instrument. The second time if it starts and does not show any messages but loads an intermittent code in the engine is this: 005488 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer P1570 - 000 - - Intermittent
The instrument does not let me access Adaptation, Basic settings and more. The original instrument was changed by this and I think that work was not done correctly. The coding is bad, it's another problem and I do not have the correct coding for the instrument

It's not bad coding. Is the coding gets accepted, then it's good coding. It got lost simply because you switched the ignition off without adapting all the sensors.
